Description
Atlantis: The Lost Tales in essence a first person puzzle adventure game. You are cast as Seth who having recently joined the Queen's Companions, discovers that the Queen herself has disappeared and that there is a power struggle is taking place between the Queen and the Guards of the Consul. The game is in 3D though the control seems a little bizarre at first as you do not move in the way you would expect, instead of moving a pointer around the screen and pressing where you want to go or using the d-pad to move you move the screen itself and to interact with the world you must position the item in the middle of the screen. Progression through the game too can be rather hit and miss as there is no logical or obvious difficulty curve to solving the various problems you incounter along the way with some being fairly obvious they can be preceeded or followed by one that is amazingly obscure, the game also has the most hated of all gaming devices a variation on the quick time event which is rather like a memory test and any error here causes that section to be restarted.
