Athlete Kings

Athlete Kings is a home version of the DecAthlete arcade unit. It's a very accurate port due to the simularities between the hardware of the Saturn and the STV (Sega Titan Video) Arcade units. The main differance in the actual game itself if the addition of a decathlon option on the Saturn allowing players to take part in all the events. The 10 events included in the game are 100 metres, 110 metre hurdles, 400 metres, 1500 metres, Long jump, High jump, Javelin, Discus, Pole vault and Shot put. All the characters in the game are fictional and in some cases comedy sterotypes of the nations they represent. The characters are Rick Blade (USA), Karl Vein (Germany), Jef Jansens (UK), Aleksei Rigel (Russia), Joe Kudou (Japan), Femi Kadiena (Jamaica), Ellen Reggiani (France) & Li Huang (China) each of who have the typical strengths and weaknesses you've come to expect in games of this style.
