There are already games on the Wii U that I wouldn't touch with somebody else's, so no full set for me to be sure. I wouldn't bank on it being an easy set to complete either - Nintendo are going to do what people have been saying they should do for months at Christmas; release a good amount of killer titles at once and actually advertise the system.

I have my mind set on going for a full Wii U set of retail and Indie-releases. I will buy most Virtual Console games as well as I've sold off most of my retro consoles. With the exception of "Spin the Bottle" I have bought every Indie game so far but I haven't kicked of the retail collecting yet and are currently counting 14 games in that category.

Just bought myself four more Wii U-games: Assassin's Creed III, Game Party Champions, Batman: Arkham City - Armoured Edition and Zombie U. That brings the total up to 18.

I was excited to get a Wii-U a couple months back, got it with New Super Mario Bros.U, Sega Racing Transformed, Nintendo Land, Black Ops 2 & Tekken Tag 2. Just not feeling it at all, most current and future 3rd party releases are either no good to me or feel like inferior versions of current 360/PS3 titles. Gonna hold on to it untill Mario Kart 8 (2014...pfft!) releases. Maybe Bayonetta 2 will help, if not it's going!
I'm so disappointed with it and Nintendo on the whole that i actually pre-ordered Assassin's Creed IV on 360 instead of the 'U.
I reckon Sony will be re-taking their gaming crown with the PS4 with Xbone lagging in 2nd place, followed by WiiU in last place...dead from the fumes, barely even leaving the starting grid.. (did i go too far?)

That is debatable. Honestly I do not see any reason to get any of the said two. I mean the line up is at best OK. PS4 launch is actualy pretty lame, Xbox One has it a bit better, but in MS they will have to invest a lot in the damage control after their post-E3 fiasco. Although I am slightly leaning towards the Xbox, I will not buy it for their 180° turn in almost everything + the whole Kinect thing is simply just useless. Not paying extra 100€ for something I will never use.

So yes, you are right - the 3rd party support is currently poor at best and as of now it doesnt seem to change in the near future. And honestly rightly so. Nintendo was neglecting its own product. Poor naming choice (there are people out there still confused about what it is supposed to be - whether just an add-on or a completely new console), unimpressive marketing, and mostly far too few good games - not the best way how to launch a console. But this fall nintendo will release some of its big IPs and I believe that we will see a turn for the better. They will actually give a reason to the masses to get their system. And with more consoles sold, the 3rd party may pick up as well. And if not - well we should be used to it by now. After all, Nintendo is lacking a proper 3rd party support since N64.

Therefore I believe that the new generation will not be as striaght forward as you think. There will be no huge leap in the graphics (definitely not now, maybe in the years to come), and an average Joe will not see much of a reason to invest 400-500€ in a new system that looks almost identical to the one he already owns. Furthermore I actualy I do not care if nintendo will win the console war of the next generation. Wii won it, and i dont consider it the best console nintendo has ever made. I will choose gamecube over wii anytime. For as long as Nintendo will be delivering those games we all love and appreciate I am happy and I dont care about anything else. And this fall looks really good. Only a Metroid and a new Zelda game could make it better.

And lastly, even being third does not mean a fail. Look at xbox 360. Currently third. Though arguably a successful console.

I think you'll be surprised at just how much better the visuals will be on the new consoles. When you see games like Skyrim, Batman Arkham City, Devil May Cry, Mass Effect etc running on a PC @ 1080p it really does make the console versions look very dated and you never want to go back. Of course, dated visuals never really hurt the Wii. Personally I think it'll slowly find some momentum especially when we get the likes of Wii Fit, or Wii Sports HD.

Considering they are already struggling to run games at 1080p and 60fps on both the new xbox and the ps4 I don't think Nintendo have much to worry about.

Not sure if you're serious with that statement but, they're not 'struggling', I assume you are referring to John Carmack's comments where he said that many studios would continue to target 30fps rather than 60. At 30fps you can get more graphical detail out of the hardware of course. Got to remember with the PC it's running games that have been built for the lowest common denominator so of course there's more headroom to run at 60fps. With newer games studios need to decide what's important to the player in that respect.

Picked up The Wonderful 101 the other day, haven't played it yet as the new Xcom FPS game caught my eye. Still have the fully paid-off preorders on Mario 3D World and Mario Kart, the other day I started paying off the new Batman game for it as well. It's definitely picking up in terms of software, noticed Amazon advertising in national UK newspapers - Disney Infinity starter set £25 when bought with a Wii U. With both Skylanders and Disney Infinity the Wii U will be under a lot of Christmas trees this year.

I'm eyeing Super Luigi U, a dedicated Luigi game seems nice. Also I don't think many people will buy it, somehow... definitely an interesting title, both for playing and collecting.

I've had a Wii U for over a year and apart from the two games I got with it - New Super Mario U and ZombiU - I only bought one other game for it last year and that was Black Ops 2. However I'm really wanting to grab a lot more games for it since I do think it's a neat system and there's a slew of great titles on the way now (and a few have been released too!) Got 9 games now and I'm working my way through the rest :)

Picked this up a few weeks ago. I can't imagine this being made in a large quantity so my guess is that this will become very rare in the future. The game appeared in the Wii U eShop this week but I've only seen the physical copy in Germany. That's where I bought mine.

I recently got a Wii U with Mario 3D world. It's AWESOMEEEE! I'm really impressed with the graphics and game play. I was a little worried that I wouldn't like playing with the big game pad but it's actually pretty comfortable. Can't wait to get me a pro controller and Luigi U. Also looking forward to Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8. It's going to rule amongst everything! It's kinda funny having new console now, Before this I only had NES, SNES, GEN, and N64. Feels good having a new console once again
