I have completely lost interst in collecting Saturn PAL games and started collecting The Japanese versions simply because I love the the Single jewel cases and artwork of the Japanese games. Especially when you put them in plastic sleaves with the spine card in place.
Same reason I have bought a SuperGrafx, I have bought one and am buying games on it simply because I have always loved the look of the Hu-cards.
Same with Gamecube, Great games but the boxes always seemd cheap ( I generally Dislike DVD boxes for games anyway )and some of the pal artwork was awfull. Then I discovered the Joy that was the Japanese Gamecube packaging. So much better looking than the Pal stuff.
Not to mention Nintendo Stuff, I know its flimsy and does not last, but hands down I think the NES, Snes, and N64 cardboard boxes look the best.
Whats everybody elses preference.
32 Bit Eyes wrote:I brought a model 1 Saturn a little while back which came with the 4 pal games I currently own it was a bit of a surprise when I got it, honestly I was not expecting the cardboard/plastic hybrid cases (i guess i had only watched us collection videos). I was expecting nice jewel cases so I'm considering going for Japanese/Us releases simply for aesthetics
