Always a shame to see a magazine go, its not that suprising unfortunately with what seems a massive lack of software of recent times on Wii and DS consoles. A magazine can't run on fumes and Wii U speculation alone it seems.

A tragically shortsighted decision, given the probable popularity of the Wii U. Surely it would have been better to put the mag on hiatus until the release of the new system, rather than relaunch and then axe it? It's criminal. I know it changed a lot, but this is essentially the end of the Super Play/N64 Mag dynasty. I think I'll be getting the Wil Overton designed final cover.

That's exactly what they've done.

Sad to see this go, only nintendo magazine left is ONM.

I'm genuinely devastated. I used to love N64, NGC, and then NGamer, but I suppose this has been on the cards since the rebrand. When Martin Kitts and Matthew Castle left, I did question what future the new publication had. I guess it's just symptomatic of what specialist print publishing is these days.

Still, it feels surreal to think there won't be a copy of the mag to pick up every month. Even last year, the idea of it going would have seemed absurd.
