Hardest game completed?

What's the hardest game you managed to finish? Everyone will have a different opinion on what's difficult, so what did you personally find your biggest challenge?

Mine has to be Rayman, I have the Sega Saturn version. Superb game but man was it tough!

I had problems with Alex the kidd in ...... World, forgot what it was now. Start in a house collecting papers running up and down stairs then finally into a village you needed a passport must have taken me weeks to figure it out and that was with tips from those phone hotline we used to use befotRre internet and youtube. Oh I was 4 yr old

Yeah I think I know about the one you mean, I think all of the Alex Kidd Games are challenging. Ahaha, days before internet eh? how ever did we cope?

Just 100%ed banjo kazooie.. Not a hard game, but very time consuming and made much more difficult by the impossible and highly frustrating controls / camera.

retro I could never finish most nes games - so hard! Dunno if it was just me but definitely the most difficult set of games on any console.

Currently made the silly mistake of playing ninja gaiden 2 on 360 on hard. Not played it before and I knew it was sposed to be hard.. I might be a while..

Super Mario Bros. 3 - world 8 is merciless, but the final fight with Bowser is surprisingly easy in comparison.

Add any SNK fighter where I've managed to defeat the end boss too.

This has to be one of the hardest for me as well. Clearing the levels wasn't to bad (though a few gave me a headache) but it was finding all the cages in each level to unlock the real final level. Took me ages to do that and I needed a guide. Cracking game though.

A couple of the Megaman games still cause me a bit of hassle at times - mainly the end of Megaman 7 (that damn final Wily battle) and Rockman & Forte (Everything from the second fortress level - its like one really long boss gauntlet in a game that never gave you E Tanks making it harder still!)

I know about the camera in Banjo Kazooie, seems a lot of early 3D platformers have this problem. Your not the only one that struggles with NES games!

I may have been guilty of taking a peek or two at a walkthrough whilst playing it myself. Probably going to get a lot of stick from this but, I haven't played any Mega Man games...

The hardest thing about the NES one was also the lack of a save function. A typical play through I seem to recall taking circa 4-5 hours!

Not at all, I haven't finished every level on normal difficulty either. Awesome game though that makes me want to try again and again!

If you can complete SMB 3, you should give Super Mario World a try!
