What Modern Games have you bought lately?

A few more PSP bits for the weekend. I'm quite pleased to find the Wild Arms. You don't see the PAL region English version around much.

Also, managed to find that Rugby League at a Gamestation for £9.99. On the surface, this sounds like a hefty amount for sports title, but Rugby games for some reason tend to fetch some coin. In terms of what it goes for £9.99 wasn't bad at all. The wii version is like that as well. Perhaps it's down to the lack of Rugby League games out there?

Went to a few Graingers, CEXs, Gamestations and GAMEs around the West Yorkshire Bermuda Triangle today - affectionately known locally as Cleckhuddersfax.

Still on the PSP theme. I'm past the 200 mark now. Gamesgaryjp, watch your back lad! I'm a comin'!

Just noticed as well that it's been exactly one month since I kicked off my PSP campaign starting off with the 3rd Birthday and Prinny. Roll on month 2!

Very happy to get IL-Sturmovik and Crash Of The Mutants. Prices are going up at least here in Finland. Most Sierra released games are getting hard to find.

I see some impressive pickup pic's from you lately "chocklo" which is great, however I can't help thinking your rushing collecting for psp.There seems to be a race on this forum to own the most psp games. I know you want to have a great collection but I'm not sure If this is the right way to collect. Seems more like impulse buying to me.

Cheers mate. re impulse buying - Nah, I've always done things that way The comment about catching gary was just light banter. To be honest, that's the way I've always collected. A particular platform gets my attention. I tend to get to a stage where it's difficult finding quality titles (start of the year it was wii, moving to DS), then I move to another platform. In the meantime, if I see a rare title that I need for a platform I'd moved over from, I could pick it up - it was getting rare though finding anything that I wanted at a price that was right. Also, with work, I tend to travel all over the country. I always try to make a stop at some sort of local game shop. It's not impulse buying, it's picking up targetted titles at decent prices as and when I see them. There always seems to be a decent variety of PSP games at decent prices at these shops - it's a great time to buy (actually, it was slightly better a few months ago during the great GAME saga).

On top of this, there are sellers like 'Zoverstocks' on Amazon who frequently knock games out at 1p (plus delivery). I think it's a great time to collect on PSP and I intend to make the most of this 'window'. Can't see em being so easily available at 1p a few years down the line...

I read lots of posts where people are deflated as they missed out on the SNES golden years where games could be picked up for pennies. Years from now, a new generation will be gutted that they missed out on budget wii/ds and PSP titles. I'm tellin ya folks, the time is now!

I picked up Prototype 2 from CEX, traded in some gubbins so only had to pay £10, it's good brainless fun so all's good.

^^^Ah, I saw the picture where the back of the system was red and assumed they were two different units. A nice set all the same though. Strange that it's an American release yet the packaging also has a bit of French language on it in places.

That particular bundle is actually a Canadian release so not really an American set, hence the reason some of the text is in French which is Canada's main spoken language. Your right though those 2 psp pics are separate items, the Ghosts Of Sparta psp is just plain red on the back almost a pillar box red with no artwork. The other red psp in the pics is the "LE Chains of Olympus Kratos psp has a silkscreen of Kratos's head. I have both God of War psp's which is nice...... Do you collect for psp yourself? Oh and thanks for the comments!

Just bought Kirby's Adventure Wii for £32.97, I was waiting for it to come down in price ideally but I haven't been seeing it locally and it hasn't moved in price since it came out (even gone up some places online) so I got it anyway, been wanting to play it anyway so it's not to bad.

MKUltra: A good move, IMO that one is going to get as valuable as the N64 kirby game, it's certainly one a lot of latecomers will be looking to pick up which may jack the price even higher.

For £10 today I got:

Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core (PSP)
Enchanted Arms (PS3)
Fracture (PS3)
Dark Sector (PS3)

I'm not into handheld gaming, but having picked up a US import copy of Prinny 2 (PSP) for a fiver it's started a slight trend (as of today apparently) and so any other good cheap PSP games will get hoovered up. The significance of the Prinny 2 is that it's Japan/NA only, so it'll be stupidly expensive to pick up as it gets older and more obscure. It doesn't help that so much of the niche Japanese games I like are PSP only. Also: It's Chocklo's fault. Grrr Chocklo

A local store is switching to another distributer and had to get rid of the remaining stock from the old one There was actually one more copy of Kirby but another guy started browsing the games after me and picked up Pikmin so I thought, what the heck, he has good taste, lets give him ond of the Kirbys
