INFORMATION WANTED - Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire "Super Pak"s

Postby andy v001 » Wed Jul 04, 2012 11:37 pm

Hey guys!

Hopefully someone can help me out here. I own the full, boxed versions of both the Ruby and Sapphire Super Paks (see the Ruby one here: not my video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH0cDSUyJAs)

Has anyone got any info on these? How many were released (apparently only 1000 of each, but I doubt this), what for, where etc...

There are usually several console only's on eBay at any given time, but I very rarely stumble across the full sets like I own...

Any info appreciated guys, thanks!

Andy

They are pretty cool aren't they! Unfortunately it seems most people simply binned the packaging and kept the console/case, they are extremely hard to find boxed and complete! I now own both of them *smug face*

haha yeh, me as an 8 year old + christmas morning = no more packaging. Do you know roughly what the sapphire version with game cartridge and carry case would be worth?

I have just paid £122 + £10 P+P for the boxed Sapphire version - mint condition console (apparently) and inners, little bit beaten box. As for an unboxed one, I wouldn't know...the consoles usually got for about 40-50 I believe? There is one on eBay at the moment that I am watching to see how high it goes, just out of interest: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290738249551?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_500wt_1287

The Sapphire versions do seem to be rarer than the ruby ones...

so id be very lucky to get £100 for it.... I thought it would be worth a little more considering how rare they are

Who knows eh? I haven't seen a sapphire one finish yet, so it could go for more. To be fair, £40+ for an SP is a fair amount :p I guess we won't know until this one finishes.

When the Sapphire set arrives for me I may do a youtube vid of an unboxing of both the Ruby and Sapphire Paks...

I have seen hints at an Emerald Super Pak, can't find anything solid though? Will do some sleuthing tomorrow...

Hehe, have a guess how much the Ruby set cost me? :p

50 :p someone on eBay having a kid's clearout by the look of it, didn't know the value of it. Messaged her asking what she wanted for it, she said she had been offered 30 and didn't really want to take it off for that much, I offered her 50 and she practically threw it at me :-)
