If you bought all of those online you had to spend quite a bit

Anyways, beside today's flea lot I also had some stuff arrive via mail. I must say I'm pretty please with these. Except for the 4 games on the lower left I bought all of these, including all Pokemons and the handhelds, for 60€ shipped. With the going rate for Pokemon games I think I got a bargain. Now have all GBC/GB Pokemon games except Red and Puzzle Challenge.

I Finally tracked down Skeet Shoot and The Enforcer fo the Amstrad GX4000. Only loose cartridges but better than nothing. If only I had the gun to go with them.

Only missing Dick Tracey and The almost mythical Chase HQ for a complete GX4000 collection.

Also got an old xbox off a froend with around 40 games. The usual Halo, Project Gotham, etc, but he did have Shenmue, KOTOR 1 and 2, Marvel vs capcom 2, and a few other decent games. He collects comics so I gave him a bunch of sppare comics for the Xbox.

I am on a Castlevania binge at the minute, Finall y bought the 360 version so decided to pick up a bunch of Advance and DS castlevania games too.

Wow armadillo you obviously had better weather than we did down here, I picked up a few PS2 Racing games and a few Rayman titles but that was it, but im happy only cost me a fiver, 50p a game you would pay more in postage on ebay.

Weather round here has been terrible so no carboots today. I did however pick this up in a junk shop:

Image

Paid £15, no idea whether that's a good deal or not. The box is a bit bashed and California Games is squashed to hell but the system itself is in really nice condition.

I'm flying blind with this system so I'll throw the floor open to any game suggestions. What are the best (affordable!) games for the Lynx?

Bargain of the week, Japanese Mega Drive, £2. It's totally region free and works perfectly. The lady sold me it so cheaply because it was missing the wires, this worked out really well as I got a power supply and RF cable thrown in for free with some games last week.

Image

I bought this without testing and discovered afterwards that the sound only works through headphones, I'm glad I knocked the price down before buying it. If only I had 6 AA batteries with me to test it beforehand. :P

Image

The two PS1 pads came from different console bundles I bought last week and the Xbox one cost next to nothing.

Image

I got these thrown in for free with some PS2 games I was buying, I really like those Official Playstation Demo discs, they're quite nostalgic.

Most of the Mega Drive games are from car boot sales, a few were eBay and a couple were donations from a friend.

I have quite a lot of these already but the sellers were asking an average of 50p per game and most of them are in complete in box and in great condition.

I'd say that's a bargain, especially boxed :) As for the best games, tough one!

I'd recommend Ninja Gaiden, Gauntlet, Paperboy, Switchblade II, and the homebrew shmup Zaku.

Main purchase for me this week:

Image

I did buy it from the 'well known' Spence.77 due to sheer desperation of wanting this game, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how good the service was. My desperation and lack of luck seeing one for auction would make perfect sense in a days time after winning the auction though, as he had listed yet another one for sale from his never-ending stash.

Despite all this though, the game is a real disappointment. I was expecting a bit more given the genre, demand, price tag... Then again, this is the 32X

Looks to be in great condition though and its Zaxxon lineage in my eyes makes it a worthy purchase from a historical perspective.

More Lynx recommendations for totalgridlock:
Awesome Golf
STUN Runner
RoadBlasters
Chip's Challenge
Qix
Crystal Mines II
Xybots
Ishido
Shanghai
Super Skweek
Klax

Basically then, all the arcade conversions and puzzlers (I've only listed stuff I own, none cost more than about £7 each).

Very very pleased with today's lot. Finally got my hands on a boxed Mega Drive, which was always a huge gap in my boxed system collection. Got it through a German variant of Gumtree, for 28€ shipped including the Aladdin game and the three pictured MD games (I didn't even own Ecco yet, lol). Best of all of course is that it's a nice Aladdin variant which is one of my favorite box variants :)

Got the Ufouria cart locally, Gumtree again, cheap ;) And then there's the GB lot which I actually got from eBay for 38€ shipped which is a huuuuuge bargain with KoF 95 and Toshinden in mint condition. Quite pleased with Arcanum aswell, goes for 30 on ebay, 2€ from a flea market.

Picked up another Dreamcast from Crack Converters: came with Virtua Fighter 3tb, Headhunter and that Disney racing game where the only recogniseable characters are Jiminy Cricket and Chip 'n' Dale. Two controllers and one transparent green VMU. It's in better nick than the one I've had since Xmas '99 so a worthy purchase - £15 all in. :D

Also found Super Monkey Ball 2 for GameCube in CeX, first copy I've ever seen in the wild - I wasn't going to pass it up. ;)

Nice. I seem to remember chocklo saying how difficult that SNES game is to get complete and boxed a while back.
