My small but loved collection

Postby Niteowl 2010 » Sun Jun 03, 2012 12:28 pm

I have been a member of retro collect for around a year now, and thought it was about time I showed you guys a few pictures of my small but loved collection. My collecting started when I found six complete snes games in a skip at work about a year ago.

Here is a picture of my gaming cupboard.

All of my snes and N64 games are complete CIB, my master system games are around 90% CIB, whilst my megadrive games are only around 75% CIB. I have around 20 loose nes carts, 10 turbografx games, 20 xbox games,15 saturn games, 20 ps1 games and about 60 dreamcast games, but around 40 of them are backups  that I have made custom cases with artwork for. All of my systems are boxed and complete apart from my (rather yellow) dreamcast, which will hopefully soon be rectified.
I have a couple of other consoles that are not in the pictures, which are a boxed PS1 SCPH 1002B, a PS3 that I have hooked up to my main TV and another megadrive that I have modified to run at 60hz with language switch that is hooked up to my CRT TV.
I have also modified my NES so that it is region free and my mark one master system with 60hz , language switch and audio outputs, (a special mention for youtuber retroswede who has a great guide for doing so).

I also enjoy collecting arcade sticks for my consoles

My aim is to just mainly collect the games I had when I younger and consoles and games that I wanted but could not afford and anything that is a bargain
I realize that my collection is quite small and that most if not all of my collection is pretty common, at least compared to some of the amazing stuff that I see here on retrocollect, but I have enjoyed collecting it and I hope you guys enjoy the pictures :D

Lovely collection :) You don't need to pur a URL tag around the code you copy+paste from picturepush. As you can see it produces useless text ;)

I have to confess to having a draw full of impossibly tangled joypads, power leads and av cables ;)
It does not seem to matter how neatly I put them away, every time I open the draw they are tangled

Very nice :) I really need to get my self some storage like that, I have 100 DC games on a small shelf all piled up, needless to say getting one from the bottom is a problem so I tend to just play ones from the top

Nice collection there and indeed well laid out :) Mine isn't too bad the now but don't think it's quite as photogenic at the moment and it's certainly not as large a collection as the one you've got :P

The thing on top of the snes is a backup device, the super wild card sms3201 which can play games from 1.44 floppy disks.
the tekken stick is wireless and for the ps3.
