Hello all!! Newbie alert!

Postby TheGamesShed » Wed May 02, 2012 9:43 am

Just thought I would introduce in a nice and friendly way

The Games Shed is made up of two London lads who have always had a love for gaming. We recently started The Games Shed one evening after pulling out a few of our retro consoles and giving the controllers a good bashing! This made us feel all warm and fuzzy inside and gave us a good excuse to get ourselves online. So here we are!!

http://www.thegamesshed.co.uk - Currently in a blog state but we are creating a lovely looking website.
http://www.youtube.com/thegamesshed - Where it all started! Over 120 videos made so far including Multi player battles, commentaries, walkthroughs and a sonic speed run! :)
http://www.twitter.com/gamesshed - Come follow us on twitter. This is where we like to get a lot of our ramblings out!
http://www.facebook.com/TheGamesShed - Getting there with facebook and will run competitions on here as well as twitter

We have been told this is a great forum by http://www.twitter.com/retrogamer1982 and we have found it to be great so far!!

Thanks everyone! :D

Hello everyone!

I just started my collection couple of months ago and also discovered your website!
I'm really searching new channels and people to develop my collection, seek help or just for a chat about it since seems like there's not much of a retro gaming culture in the city.

I'm Mirko, 27, from London UK.

Hi, everyone. :)

Thought I'd introduce myself. I've been playing PC Games since the early 90s and been collecting them as well as of late. Stupid as I was, I sold almost my entire collection in the early 00s, which I have regretted bitterly ever since. Nice to see a site such as this, and I hope I will have time to spend some time here. :)

Hello Retro Collectors
I'm 26 from Australia, I enjoy collecting and playing retro games. I found you guys on the hunt for a retro oriented forum ( the gaming forums i've found in the past focus more on current gen and forum posts reflect that. It was very refreshing to find this forum focusing on retro as well as the collecting aspect of the hobby.

I look forward to chatting with you all

Hi everyone,

my husband found this site and encouraged me to set up an account. I am 30, from Germany, and a big Zelda nut. My husband and I collect games together.

We just went to Enschede (Netherlands) this month, to GameShop Twente, to stuck up on some Retro games :-) If anyone knows of any good stores in Germany to go to please let me know. I am usually hunting on ebay, but going to a store is much more fun.

Hello!

I'm SJ. I'm originally from Liverpool, England but now live in Stornoway, Scotland (yes, it's a total pain trying to buy games on this island). I've been playing and collecting consoles and games since I got a MD II when I was 4. I'm a huge Sega and Sonic fan. It's nice to find so many people in this country share the same interest. I don't have millions of games as I've never earned that much money but I love trawling charity shops, eBay and car boot sales for deals.

I guess I should introduce myself too ^.^
I'm Lex, and Katsu invited me over here :)
I'm more of a casual gamer (mostly due to a lack of money and/or time!) but I really enjoy my games, both retro and modern :P
I'm a bit of a Nintendo/Zelda fangirl :P and a cosplayer too, pretty much all my costumes are from games, and a large majority of those being from, you guessed it, Zelda!
