Yeah - I remember when I was working in Leeds about 10 years ago now, I used to take a walk to the retail park and they had loads of the box sets in a catalogue reject shop called You and Yours (part of Grattan). I couldn't be bothered sitting on them so I passed up.

Oh dear ;o(

It was Retro Collects very own Ashley Escort who sold the first one for an extortionate price (and fair play to him too ) but for me, it's never been up there in that kind of price bracket or desirability - volume 2 is harder to find in my experience.
Ash did promote the rarity of the game big-time on his You Tube channel prior to the game being listed and I would suggest a few people completely bit at the hype. The next few that appeared came with a high price tag because of the one that Ash sold, but things are going back to normal again. If I was one of the people who payed over £300 for the game, I'd be feeling physically sick right now.

Apologies for the quality of the photo - I've been experimenting with a camcorder I bought for £10 and this was the BEST out of the three pics I took!

Total spend - £1.66!

Annoyingly I would want that game as part of the Sonic collection but I definately cannot justify £350 for one.

To keep things on top I picked this little lot up for 49p each. :)

Yes they are indeed, they came with the console, 2 original pads, 2 memory cards, mario kart dd, and two other games (sonic mega collection and crash bandicoot both of which I gave to my nephew) cost £45 local pickup which I considered fair since the pads are pretty hard to come by. It's fair to say I could have tried my luck with the auction.

U did very well with that lot, you dont see those controllers often at all, they cost a bloody fortune to buy if you want one off ebay aswell. Would off probably cost you £45 for just 1 off them controllers lol.

Yeah needless to say I was pretty happy to have negotiated a price on it. I do remember an auction of one purple hori pad ending for £15+/- inc not so many months ago. I forgot about it and kicked myself for days after seeing it in my ended list. Next on my agenda is a Hori N64 pad, can't imagine them popping up locally though.

Yeah you did very well on that lot then, to get one pad cheap is good, but to get 2 pads is like deal impossible

Well done! :D

Just some game gear pickups from Cash Convertors. £2 each except Marble Madness, that was 50p.

Also got a black label copy of Spyro the Dragon and Walt Disney World Quest: Magical Racing Tour from Johnbo89 :)
