xbox360 controller problem?

Postby Videopac » Tue May 15, 2012 1:29 pm

Hello,

Anyone had any issues with their 360 control continuously switching off even though it has full charge?
Me and a friend have both had it and what it is, is the battery pack for AA bats is splitting and causing loose connections which is a right bugger whilst online.

A bit of superglue down the sides and on the centre section has resolved it but it has just started to split again :(

I do take the bats out when its not in use because my little girl likes to switch them on so there is extra wear potentially but it still seems a little poor.

Nathan.

well yeah I checked that initially and had almost resigned myself to it being a knackered controller.

happens to mine all the time, i just put it down to the rechargeable battery being crap, tend to just keep it plugging in with the wire now. works fine if i stick 2 AA's in there

Yeah, i had it on one of my controllers after i dropped the battery pack and it busted open. I glued it back together as you did and it has been fine ever since, not that i use it much now that i have new wired controller.

Depending on how much you use your xbox it might be worth picking up a new wired controller (£15), i started noticing how loose the analog sticks were on my wireless controller so bought a wired one and its so much nicer to use. Furthermore you don't have to change batteries and i can use it with my PC for emulators or PC games which work better with a controller!

this is what i do also, seems like my battery don't charge, tried with a new rechargeable battery also and same thing with that, but works fine with 2 AA's or just with the charger cable plugged in

I've no problem with rechargeable packs. I should probably invest in one.

The 360 rechargeable batteries dont last that long. Ive gone through 2 or 3 since launch. They last less and less until you need to have the charging cable in contantly otherwise the pad just shuts off.
