Nice pick up Ninja! Just this week we've been talking about the rarity of both of these on our local forum. Condition doesn't look all that brilliant, but for that price well worth it!

@Marcus, nice trade! You wouldn't happen to have a manual for trade there, would you? I'm looking at that Air Rescue and Wimbledon II. If you've got those double, I have some spare manuals we could trade for or even complete games. I've got a fair few spare SMS, SMD, SMCD games and manuals.

Today arrived the kickstart for my JAP Saturn collection. Abandonig PAL due to disinterest, JAP games are my new target.
I have no idea why the pics are oriented like that, Imageshack is to blame... however theres a simple fix: Tilt your head.

Starting it off with Mobile Suit Gundam 1-3, in very nice folder cases, with manuals.

Image

The King of Fighters 95, complete with the, I guess, Memory Expansion cartridge.

Image

Langrisser 3-5. 3 with 3D cover and "Fan Book", 5 with spinecard.

Image

Dynamite Deka, with pamphlet.

Image

And finally Lunar 2: Eternal Blue. Complete with map, in those triple-jewel cases.

Unfortunately not matey - I cherry-picked all the ones I needed so there's no duplicates amongst them :(

Well i finally got my hands on a Philips Videopac G7000 with 7 games (1, 4, 10, 12, 18, 35 & 36)
after always being out bidded every time, i manage to hit the jackpot and it won a auction for a total of £31 (included posting), where pass auctions have got £50+ with less games.:D

Here it is:

Aikola wrote:Also in regards to cleaning the box, this is taken from http://www.consolepassion.co.uk:

"Cleaning Boxes
Cleaning Second Hand Game boxes of dirt is easy enough. Removing stickers - especially from cardboard boxes is a slightly more delicate task. The trick is to dissolve the glue that bonds the sticker to the box, and this can be done once again with our trusty friend Isopropyl. Using a pipette (a teaspoon will suffice, but can get a little messy!) suck up some Isopropyl, and the saturate the sticker. Wait a few minutes until the sticker starts to become slightly transparent and then carefully lift one corner of the sticker using a finger nail. Using only a small amount of pressure gently peel back the paper - if it gives any resistance stop and drop on a little more Isopropyl. Eventually the glue will dissolve and the sticker will peel off easily without tearing the box. Any residual glue can be wiped off with a cloth and some more Isopropyl. Once all stickers are removed you can give the box a complete wipe with the Isopropyl soaked cloth - it's amazing how much of a lustre this can restore to a dull faded box. The same tips apply to plastic boxes and CD cases.

Obviously these are just my own tips - Console Passion takes no responsibility for any damage you may do (although, if you follow them properly, you should have no problems). Note that Isopropyl is the best cleaning fluid to use as it doesn't melt plastic or left print, and its dries without leaving marks. You should always use Isopropyl in a well ventilated room."

I did try some Isopropyl once, but i found it taken the ink from the box too and bad a right mess.
Last night i used the steam from the kettle and it worked GREAT. sticker has now gone and looks a lot better :D

Added a couple of games to my Pal Saturn collection this week, Frankenstein Through the Eyes of a Monster (at a great price!) and Deep Fear (at a not so great price). I have nearly every Pal Saturn game I want now, only a few more to get.

Not posted anything in here for a while!
Picked a few things recently!
Managed to pick up a complete copy of the rather rare Sega World Tournament Golf, I have a copy that has no instructions if anyone wants to make me an offer!

I've not been picking up much retro stuff lately; my money is focussed elsewhere, and I only have so much of it. But I did pick this up a short while ago (not this week, but since I last posted here anyway). I'm not sure if you'd class this as 'retro' or 'modern', as it's new, but as it's for a retro console I'll put it here.

Image

The collector in me wants to leave it sealed and fresh. But the gamer in me wants to open it and play it. Has anybody else played this one?

Pier Solar looks really interesting, you should defiantly play it!

Some more Japanese/ gameboy things again.

All the games are Japanese, some are easy and fun to play, other i have no idea what is going on!

You need to play Pier Solar! Really amazing game. I got it last year, never regretted it :)

I might well finish it off, a good reason to dust off the Mega Drive and give it a go!
