So, do you people buy all these games are flea markets/car boots? You sure have more interesting stuff at those places than here. :(

I think for the members here it tends to be car boots and charity shops. But it differs on where in the country you live, some areas have bigger and better car boots than others. I have to travel about 15miles for my nearest but on a good day it can be packed but we won't find anywhere near as much as other members.

Well I've just got back from Retrovision, well not quite home, I'm over at Ric's (who you may have met at Replay last year) for a few days. This morning we decided to head to the event later on and the car boot sales beforehand, which turned up a few interesting things to say the least!

First and foremost, to rival arma_dillo2009's massive haul of Kirby Game Boy Advance games, I managed to come across 28 brand new copies of Sheep for the Game Boy Advance for £12. You can expect to see a lot of these being given away on the RetroCollect Facebook and Twitter pages soon, so keep your eyes peeled :)

Image

Other stuff:

Image

Game Boy stuff, few nice multicarts and unusual color titles.

Image

Awesome NES handlebar accessory, few more goodies, rare Blues Brothers N64 title. Oh, and the rather rare Game Gear Tarzan cart for just £2.50 :)

Image

£17 for the SNES

And just because, another Sheep picture 8-)

Image

Hopefully there will be some bank holiday Monday boot sales too!

Saturday was a busy day. First craigslist purchase (Genesis Model 1) with the master system controller that the guy swore up and down to me was for this but I knew and am okay with that, something else to just add to my pile, and then the usual local pawn shop games grab.
Image

Then I randomly found a garage sale today and picked these up. PS1 got cleaned and tested working fine but I'm not sure if I'm going to keep or sell it yet. Second copy of Shaq-Fu is for finding the best cleaning method for labels that doesn't discolor or damage them too badly. Not bad for $10 (that's around £8 for you guys I think) on a boring Sunday.

wow Cauterize that's a whole lot of Sheep, very nice.

I went to a local carboot that is only held on Bankholidays this morning, surprisingly poor turnout considering it was a dry start. Anyway I still dropped on finding a boxed and complete SNES for £5 and a few xbox games for 50p each.

Trundled down to a Bank Holiday-only carboot this morning before the rainclouds came over. Most of it was already picked clean but I did manage to pick up this for £2:

And these, £4 for the lot:

All CIB except for Lylat Wars (cart only) and Perfect Dark (missing manual).

Few 49p-ers from Gamestation...all complete though Halo has an iffy reprint inlay. Disc and everything's mint though, so good for a temp replacement for the copy I borrowed off a mate :)

You did well there on the n64 lot for £4, especially with mystical ninja, gauntlet legends and aerofighters assault which can be quite a hard game to come by CIB from my experience.

Nice score on the 64 lot, loving the Turoks got those myself however the boxes are a bit tatty. Do you need an expansion pack for lylat wars as i also picked up a loose one not so long ago.

Mainvein: I dont think i would have been quite so good in not picking up those systems.

Always loved Quake (but on the PC) and Turok also man your N64 cases are cool! They have that "Ultra 64" look to them compared to the rainbow colorish ones we have over here.

Yep, always loved Turok and Quake II as well so this was a good pick-up for me although I don't usually go for N64 much.

Already got myself two expansion packs (one when I bought the console, another with DK64) but thanks anyway. Can't bring myself to call it Lylat Wars though, it was a rubbish title in 1997 and it's a rubbish title now!

Mainvein: You passed on a ZX81? You have more willpower than I! I'd just about wet myself if I ever saw one of those in the wild. Can't remember the last time I saw any old micros on a carboot round here :(

Haven't posted in here for a wee while so here's my latest update!

All of the PS1 games were 50p each (Yay Jojo's Bizzare Adventure :D )
PS2 games were £2/3 - Steambot Chronicles is actually quite fun.

Image

I got a non "Sold-out" version of that game that doesnt exist. And a couple of GBA games :)

ps1 rival schools! great pick up, played it to death at uni, its one on my to get lists (only have a copy).

the zx81 wasnt boxed though, was in great condition. He wanted £20 for it at first, but then down to £15. He did say that if it doesnt sell he will encase it in some clear resin and hang it on the wall for some modern art.

i would have had it but i've had two zx81s in the past, never really liked them that much (heresy). They do look cute but i should have thought to buy it then pass it on at cost to someone on here really
