I have a lot of the Sonic games, but though it'd be nice to show some other stuff:

I think it's indeed a German exclusive, had never seen one before either. Found it in a Dutch shop though!

Love that Dr. Eggman figure. Really need to get me a Eggman figure, he's the only character I don't have one of. I do have this classic Robotnik though.

Random Hero's Sonic game collection from a few pages back would have to be the best one i've seen so far....
Random Hero wrote:Mission Plan!
- Get one of every PAL Sonic game ever released boxed, complete and as close to mint as possible.
- This includes all variations where possible (e.g. Platinum/Promos/etc).

Secondary Objectives!
- Acquire copies of unique Sonic games that didn't come out in PAL territories.
- Go for games from other territories that have cool box art (i.e. Japanese releases ;P).
- Include games that cameo Sonic is some way.

I don't think my collection is as impressive as something like Shadowman's Megaman collection, but I'm quite happy with the progress I've made so far. I owned a great deal of the Sonic games already due to being a fan of the series for so long, so it's only been variations and rare games that I've had to pick up, which I guess saved me a little bit of money. :)

If you guys know of any rare variations or just general cool Sonic stuff that I'm missing then I'd appreciate the info! Seem to keep finding new stuff all the bloody time!

Here is my collection, ive also got Sonic and Mario at the Olympics.
Good thing is I found my Mega Drive, Bad thing is I havent got it working yet, Im right in thinking that I should be able to run it off the RF Cable that comes with the Master System?
I might need to open it up and clean it out, if not ill have to grab another one, I always fancied a Mega Drive 2 anyway also at some point I would like to get hold of a 32x and Mega CD but they can get expensive right?

I would recommend getting a mega drive 2 anyway, on a whole they are a far more reliable machine and getting parts and leads is far cheaper than the mk 1 equivalent. 32x's are generally more expensive, you are looking at about £60 for one with the proper leads (another benefit of the mk2 mega drive is that you only need the standard lead for the 32x rather than the mk1 extension. Mega cd's aren't too bad and there are some good games to get as well with it.

One of the items I'm most proud of is thiat Sega World token from Sega World Sydney. Had to smuggle it out of the park to keep it. I've seen them go for $100AU+ on eBay.

The entry cards are really nice too and often achieve high prices.

Very cool SEGA world stuff there JoeMD, I had heard about it but never got to go there, what was it like, just a big arcade filled with SEGA machines or did it have rides as well?

There was a HUGE arcade cab presence but yes it had rides as well. My favourite was Sega's version of the Ghost Train. It was like a roller coaster/ host train hybrid but the carts had a windscreen and a gun in front of where you sat. Ghosts would appear on the screen (the game told you the screen was 'special' and allowed you to see the ghosts :D ) and you had to blast them with the gun. A rollercoaster combined with a shoot-em-up was AMAZING! Had the adrenalin pumping. So much fun!

There were of course other rides but that's the one I remember the most.

Sounds like fun thanks for the write up, I wonder what happened to all the SEGA world attractions, got scrapped or sent back to Japan, or ended up in an ex-Ozisoft employees basement

Some new additions to my Sonic collection; Dr Eggman with Egg Fighters figure set and a case of Sonic Chaos Emerald Sours. They come in apple and cherry flavour and are actually rather nice. ^_^

Godammit Grizz you always find new varients for me! XD

How did I not see this thread earlier? Thank you for the kind words on my collection. Loving Joe's and Grizz's merchandise, even though Joe's Tails plush on his retrocollect page is going to give me nightmares forever!

Gonna have to get my hands on that PC collection with the mouse. Looks awesome. :) Got a few more bits this week for the collection as well as the PC collections that I forgot to add.

Image

Whoops forgot these too. Apparently the worst port of Sonic 1 in existance, but a unique title for the collection nonetheless. :)
