I felt the need to come and restore the balance here after all these minty games are being posted

Some of the atrocities I've been sent recently make Jiffy Bags seem like a good packaging solution! I've had a game posted wrapped in a plastic bag, inside a plastic bag, inside another plastic bag, all contained in essentially bin liner with a my address and a stamp attached to it. But the one that really takes the biscuit for me was the idiot who decided to put a fragile cardboard N64 game in a large letter envolope with no form of protection / padding whatsoever. Needless to say it didn't arrive unscaved and I was fuming, especially when you consider I paid £3.95 for p&p!!

Happens all the time mate, that is the reason why you should after every purchase off a cardboard boxed game send them a message to tell them to send it in a sturdy cardboard box. Seems like an obvious thing that they should do without sending them a message but its sadly not the case...

I actually send cardboard boxed games flatpacked in a jiffy bag, and have had no complaints for about 8 years! The above is a joke thou, and have had the same sort of thing sent to me in the past.

Worth bearing in mind that if the packaging is bigger than a large envolope it will now cost £3.65 to send recorded delivery, before the cost of the packaging. Everyone wants a cardboard box, but noone wants to pay the postage it now costs I imagine!

At the moment the only PAL game(s) that can fetch £100+ are those sought after australian exclusives, Snowboard Kids 2 and Starcraft 64. Personally, I can't see much changing in the next few years but if one game was to break £100 it'll probably be Conker's Bad Fur Day, which I keep seeing selling at ridiculous BIN prices.

It seems as though all this is happening sooner than I thought. A lovely copy of Mystical Ninja 2 has just sold for over £100 from a 99p start auction:

I think a big part of the problem is that there's no parcel boxes made readily available. If they sold them for say 50p next to the jiffy bags in post offices there would be a lot more happier SNES and N64 collectors out there.

Thought I would give this thread a bump

New to the site full info I needed :D currently collecting a full pal set will be cartridge only
but will pick up boxed copies along the way too if the price is right. Got 44 games at the moment including some of the expensive
titles like cbfd & banjo Tooie. Will put a list up of my games and accessories soon.

Bye for now

Any of the N64 collectors here seen this case before?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nintendo-N64-in-black-rental-box-Rare-/140938696812?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_123&hash=item20d099d86c

I've got a soft spot for these type of items, but I'm not into Nintendo. Friend of mine in Belgium is selling it and thought it looks quite cool. Very similar to the Sega rental cases, but this is not an official Nintendo product unfortunately.
