Presumably it was an upright cab (not the hydraulic sit-down cab?)
I've built loads of MAME cabs, but I'd love the real thing, and plenty of them - and none of them would be set to free play, I'd have to 'insert coin' when I wanted to play..!!

Is it an original coin door mech, or one of the generic (cheaper) types that register a coin by comparing it with a coin housed inside the mech (the one's sold at Ultimarc, for example). Alternatively, if checking the coins isn't a priority, you can attach a microswitch at the coin's exit route from the mech's chute.
Oh, and one thing to consider is legally, *we're* not allowed to charge the public for using emulators
