Pal Zelda LTTP box curio

Postby Lord Innit » Sun Apr 22, 2012 7:55 pm

Anybody else have any the same as this? The front with the text at the bottom with translates to " with dutch manual" and yet on the back Nintendo placed a large sticker to make the dutch box a UK one with it stating that it contains English language instructions only. I've had this copy since 1994 and I've only just noticed. Just shows how observant I am  . Did they do this with any other games?

Interesting one really, will have to consider what to do with this. Did you buy this new back in the day?

No, I got it second hand from a market place in Hastings back in 1994.

Never seen it before, maybe Nintendo had a shortage for UK and used Dutch versions instead? What language is your map in? The HOL version of the game normally comes with a Dutch map and secret book.

Everything is identical to the UK version except the box. The codes SNSP-ZL-UKV are on the manual and cartridge, the box has SNSP-ZL-HOL and the sticker on the back SNSP P ZL.

It's certainly in better condition than my copy. It would be interesting to know how many copies were done like this and whether any other games had the same treatment.
I also can't believe how I never noticed the sticker on the back, especially one as wonky as the one on my copy.
