This is my birthday haul... Cool Spot is in ropey condition but I wanted it for fun. Quackshot and Mickey I got for £6 combined - so a bargain in any condition. Chaos / Another / Rock are all in excellent condition. Even though Rock N Roll is NTSC - I only got it for £15 - I refuse to pay £30+ for a poor condition PAL one!

Bargains must be Probotector and Mario - got them for under £10 each - pretty good prices even unboxed.

Before I post here, I must ask, are PC games allowed to be posted? The ones I've just hauled are all from pre-2005. OK to put 'em here?

The DK bongo carry case is brand new, still has the tags on. Ys was also a neat find (i thought)

total: £2.99 for the carry case and £1.49 for Ys: The Ark of Napishtim

Don't know how "retro" is defined. And I don't think anybody else knows it either. I'd say: Go ahead :)

In my mind retro = 16-bit or older. Everything else is just... old.

Sounds good to me! Im sure if you posted something that may not be deemed retro by some, then someone would probably guide you to a different thread on a forum. Everyone has been awesome on here to me so go for it!

Alrighty Then:

Annoyingly, C&C is missing Disc 1.

I also picked up Guild Wars Special Edition (Art Book and all!) and Guild Wars Nightfall (with one big-ass poster) but I don't think they really qualify as Retro. Everything was £1 each except C&C which was free due to the missing disc :D!

I really wish there was a PC database, but that would be impossible!

Yeah, I'm lucky I found the Original version, there were loads of re-releases. And, this thingg is in Mint condition, the discs aren't even dusty and there isn't a mark anywhere on the box.

A relative brought me a free MSX 2 today including keyboard and a SCART cable. Also some disks with Metal Gear, Penguin Adventure and others but the best was Rune Master 3. I used to love this and played it in Japanese but the guy patched it with the English fan-translation so I finally know what's going on! I'm real happy because I last played this like 18 years ago!

First car boot of the year for me, yay! I couldn't wait!

We decided to go to a different one we only found out about at the end of the season last year, meant to be huge but there was about 10 sellers, the rest were market traders. Nevertheless the boyfriend got a few PS2 games and we left to go to our usual one.

Lots of stalls but not many games, save for one man who had a huuuuge box full of xbox games but they were all fake :x Boyfriend got a crystal (I think it's called) xbox for £3, some more PS2 games, and I got this which I thought was pretty neat

On the way back we stopped at the local market by our house, only market traders never any booters there, to see the (overpriced) games seller who said he'd be getting more retro in this weekend. He had some SNES and N64 carts which was nice to see but as we were looking in a box of wires, at the very bottom we found a SNES! Boyfriend has wanted one since last year but I said wait for the boot sales I think we'll find one this year :) Guy wanted a fiver for it because it had no leads and he didn't know if it worked. Brought it back home, used my NES power pack and GC tv wires and it worked great! Chuffed to bits for him! :D

I did the first car boot of the season this morning, up at 5:30am

Pretty poor tbh, the most retro thing there was a worst for wear Megadrive sitting on a table in the rain
Saw a boxed Amstrad CPC :?
& plenty of Xbox & ps2 garbage!

There was a nice looking box of PC games some boxed, but there not my thing really.

In the end, I came back with Super Smas Bros Brawl & Super Mario Galaxy for £4 each, not retro but worth it when they are worth £9-£10 each as trade ins & they always sell well on eBay.
& grabbed a bundle of psp games, even though I don't own one :| (sold most of them on eBay about an hour ago  )

ZUB is a speccy classic - not sure if you have a 48K or 128K Speccy, but IMO the 128K version has some of the finest music on the system.

I have a 128k +2 Speccy. And yeah I loved it's music :)

No, this is Batman the movie. It doesn't exactly specify on the box, but the one you are thinking of is just "Batman".

chocklo wrote:You have got yourself some absolute classics there! These games really take me back. The Horace games were the first speccy games that I owned. I have no idea how it plays now, but I used to love Airwolf!

I get the impression Airwolf is probably a great game but it seems to require very precise movement. It's just that I was struggling haha :) And visually it looks good.

Nice to see some Spectrum/Commodore pickups

Haha! Yeah, but it's a shame I don't know any other girls like myself personally to share my interests with!

I got this TMNT collectors edition a couple of weeks ago in my local game shop for £1.99 and it came with a foam sticker sheet and a very cool metal slip case, which I've never seen before so I thought I'd post some pictures.
