Plastic bags for games

Postby mr_wistles » Wed Apr 18, 2012 8:18 am

Morning all,

I have bought some MD games in the past which have come in small plastic bags.

Does anyone know where you get these from?

Are you talking about the sandwich bags people use?

I am not sure what they are. They are clear plastic with a sticky closer. I want to get them (well my wife has instructed me to) to make it easier to clean.

They must be DVD wraps. They are very cheap and easy to use.

Ebay has some in packs of 200 for £2.50 with free p&p. Make sure to get the correct dvd size, not the slim dvd ones :)

You 100% need these exact ones , i use the same ones , they fit , saturn , nes , game boy , cds , dreamcast pal and especially mega drive games, they need to be this size / quality or they will break.

Here is a great video showing these sleeves from darren http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ni_WRwyXZ4c its what made me buy them in the first place.

Thanks. They are only 14mm though? Smaller than a MD box.

hmm...quite bizarrely they state that they post worldwide, but not to the Scottish Highlands and various others.

I get mine from my local pound shop. 100 for a quid and no postage fees. Maybe a similar kind of store near you would have some too?

We do not have shops in the Highlands, we are beyond the boundaries of civilisation - a place where even the Post Office fear to tread..apparently.

I'd imagine they'd be VHS wraps rather than DVD wraps that fit Megadrive games.

Personally, I use these protectors, I've got The SFC & NES ones, they are AWESOME!
(they don't do Mega Drive cases at the minute, but I think they are currently working on a MD version)

He sells on eBay under the name of keep em minty, great seller & fast delivery.

Does anyone know if there is anything similer for N64 boxes? I know you can get box protectors but buying 242 of them will be rather costly.

I'm also after the baggies that the carts come in if anyone knows anything similer or suitable thats out there?
