Absolutely love it. The screens pretty much perfect and the games aren't far off current gen console quality. It's like having my ps3 in my pocket.

Can't wait for the next wave of games to come in. I've been pretty much welded to mine since I got it. In fact, only just put it down now to concentrate on the extra time on the chelsea napoli match. Only wish that I could run my psn ps1 purchases on it as well. Would love to get ff7,8 and 9 on it.

Can't wait for that ffx remake to surface.

Yup, I'm well and truly hooked.

Edit - oops, forget that this was essentially a collecting thread. I've currently got five games - everybody's golf, virtua tennis, uncharted, rayman and wipeout.

Until the library gets a God of War title, I won't be joining the circle. Basically now, the games plain don't interest me.
However the unit itself is very nice, held it in my hands a couple of time, feels really well made and the screen is something else!

ive got the handheld and only one game that is uncharted, completed the game and definately impressed with what theyve done, in this game theyve made sure to let you access all of the vitas functions and makes the game a little more fun to enjoy...the graphics are superb and crisp and the controls are smooth and comfy to press, holding the handheld doesnt give u cramp or anything either after a long time...the only downfall is the lack of decent games that are out for it for hte moment, i myself am waiting for disgaea but thats about it...i dont see anything else interesting unless they decide to bring tales of innocence R over here or ragnarok odyssey

So is everyone still loving this?

I've just finished Rayman Origins and have recently started on Uncharted. My games count is now 18.

I still love the PS Vita. I've been playing on it almost every day since it got released.
My favourite game right now is FIFA Football.
I'm also looking forward to the new free applications that were recently announced and I'm really curious about the TAG app.

Don't currently own one as a) I got burnt buying a 3DS too early and b) it has a case of the first year jitters i.e. Not many new releases. I will definately get one at some point, but I will wait until the back cat is a bit more established.

On a side note, Gravity Rush has possibly the nicest box art I have seen in a very very long time. :)

Yeah, it's an awesome console. But if I didn't happen to win one, it's unlikely that I would've bought one. Not enough games I really want to play.

My collection contains 3 promos and 4 retail titles so far.

I've been using my Vita more and more over the last couple of weeks, for me its just a great handheld with a nice library of games that interest me - its nice being able to have almost perfect ports of games like Rayman Origins, Ultimate MVC3 and Mortal Kombat as well as stuff like Uncharted, Gravity Rush and Wipeout.

I've got 12 retail games now (the newest being Metal Gear Solid HD Collection) as well as a few downloaded games (Mortorstorm, Rayman, Stardust, Escape Plan). MGS is ok but the story mode really isn't suited to handheld gaming, the cutscenes are longer than I remember! The load of VR missions though are perfect for the odd 5 minute intervals where I need something to entertain me. Gravity Rush is my favourite of the bunch right now though, I managed to get the last couple of trophies I needed to Platinum it at the weekend and was sad to see it end. I've still got one last bit of DLC to pick up for it but I'm now hoping for a sequel that expands on the gameplay concept more and carries on the story.

For me the PS Vita was a natural progression from the playstation portable! I've followed the console since it was first announced in January 2011 and knew it was a day one purchase for me. I got the 3G console,16 GB memory stick and 5 games on launch. I now have 8 retail games and 3 download titles. I have Reality Fighters, Asphalt injection, Ridge Racer,Dungeon Hunter Alliance,Uncharted G.A, Resistance Burning Skies, Unit 13 and finally the Metal Gear HD collection. The downloads are WipeOut, Motorstorm RC and Super Stardust.

I've got my eye on a few more games, however I won't be collecting every PS Vita game. It will be mostly games I love to play and collector's editions.I'd also like to pick up the crystal white system when It arrives or I may import one from Japan. The PS Vita is a great piece of kit with some exclusive features that make it stand out from any other portable console, however it will never replace my psp as I still feel the psp is my favourite and the first true multi-media hndheld! I love the build quality and especially the screen and apps like youtube and facebook are great. I don't own a mobile phone so the Vita is my ticket to the net when I'm out and about.
On August the 28th PS Vita will receive a firmware update which will enable much needed PS1 support and also some other cool features. Can't wait for Need For Speed and Assassins Creed later in the year also, COD may just get a mention too.....

My iPod is no longer my favourite companion on the train. For years I couldn't leave home without it. But now, the Vita has taken over. On my way to work and back home (30 minute train ride) it's game time every day. What I lovely device. I'm hooked more than ever. I hardly even touch my PS3 anymore when I'm home.
Vita for the win!

Due to the fact that PSP was like an addiction to me (back in 2005 - 2006) it is just normal to continue with PSP vita :)

I just love the console in every way - the screen is gorgeous, my favorite game so far is Rayman Origins - the game is PERFECT for the console, the best thing ever, mutch better than Uncharted and more "mature" games. When I started the game for the first time I thought I will reach to the screen pick up any element and eat it like candy. (and of course in Rayman tradition)

Anyway - I've picked most of the games for the console (missing just a few) I am seriously thinking in getting a full set (I mean to keep it as my primary investment).

I've bought it at launch (I was with a few others in from of GAME ) with 3 games (the 3G model) - Uncharted, Marvel vs Capcom + 16 GB card - also preordered Ridge Racer from Zavvi for only 14 pounds

I think the console was cursed or something because when I got home with the thing I noticed that in the box was not charging cable and no charger - and I wanted to go back, but I realised it was 1:00 am and probably the store was already closed (after the midnight launch) I decided to wait until the morning, using the little juice in the console for playing the 2 games I got from the store. Unfortunately when I had a business trip (after ~ 30 hours of no sleep and stress after a lot of meetings and "gatherings" ) I forgot the console and the 3 games in the front pocket of the plane :( - I realized in the transit bus, rushed to the first office and complained, they told me to relax that the cleaning service will search and bring it back to me, but after 3 hours of arguing - the conclusion was - LOST ! (this was happening in April. The console was "cleaned" by the cleaning service.

By a lucky chance my lovely wife found another one (on amazon.de) at a incredible price (with 1 game free / 1- 8 GB memory card and 1 game half price) and she bought me another console - I was ecstatic - (I think originally I payed like 500 EU, and the second one cost me only 300 delivered)

Since then until present - I own 30 "boxex" - 3 are empty (because of the "lost" I like to call them "cleaned" games) and 1 with just a download code inside - the rest contains games :) also I have bought some downloadable titles (Katamari - was on a voucher inside Ridge Racer - with a big discount) also Escape Plan (just epic) and a few PSX / PSP and minis.

This month the console received the biggest update - a 32 GB memory card - which I found (cheaper than usual) for just 75 EU in Sony Center here in Prague (they also had Sony 3D tv - for "just" 300 EU - which I also bought :) - actually I was there for the TV and saw the vita card with the corner of my eye - last piece in stock / the one with the price tag)

So I hope I didn't bored you to death with my stories (I am sorry if I did) and happy PSV playn'

I got it as well. Really enjoying it - it looks great, is fun to play and all the community levels I've played so far have been really fun. My one complaint is that the online co-op is too laggy to play. I've tried several times with different random people and its lagged every last time which is a shame. Still, that's a small complaint on what is otherwise a cracking game.

I've treated myself to some really good Vita games over the last couple of weeks, also I'm so glad that the system is region free so that I could import a couple of games I really wanted early rather than wait for their eventual Euro releases. I imported EDF Portable 3 (EDF 2017 port) and Dokuro (awesome puzzle platform game). EDF is quickly becoming my favourite Vita game, its perfect for portable play, it looks and runs pretty much exactly identical to the 360 version (but now with an online mode and more extras) and its just so incredibly addictive!
Dokuro is a sweet little platform game where you have to protect a princess while you make your way through levels, solving puzzles along the way. Its a nice fun and simple game and its fully in English which is a huge bonus.

I also grabbed Little Kings Story, Virtua Tennis 4, Spy Hunter and Everybody's Golf and I'm quite liking all of them. Spy Hunter is fairly rough round the edges and not without its fair share of problems but I gotta say I'm actually enjoying it (then again I also really liked the Spy Hunter games on the PS2/Xbox)

My copy of EDF arrived around around a week ago and I’ve been playing pretty much constantly since. Some 8 hrs in and 10% (!) of the game completed I’m very happy with what has turned out to be a very expensive treat. In my excitement to purchase and get the game into my hands asap I forgot about the vat implications and received an unwelcome invoice from fedex for a princely £18 yesterday – it was worth it though.

I was a little nervous about the language barriers but the game came with some handy translation cards for the main option menu’s which eliminated most of problems although it is hard to tell what the weapons do (but there are plenty of guides online) and changing the control method from normal (auto aim, touch screen use for manual aiming) to advanced (more FPS like) takes a little bit of research, although I immediately changed it back anyway.

To the game itself, EDF is simply a wonderful port of EDF 2017 – if anything the game play feels more suited to the pick up and play mentality of handheld gaming. So far I’ve come up against Giant Ant’s, Giant Spider’s, Huge Robots, UFO’s and some seriously huge bosses. Fortunately there have been plenty of weapons drops to support my normal difficulty campaign to repel these invaders. I'm currently rocking an excellent machine gun which ploughs through the enemies and a magnificent sniper rifle that can take down the larger enemies relatively easily.

Either way I’ve barely scratched the surface here – with more difficulties, more weapons and a second player character type to unlock I’m going to be at this for quite some time. EDF! EDF!

I'm still experimenting with the weapons on EDF. I can understand the basic stats on the different weapons so its not too tough for me to choose which weapons to use. I am finding that certain types of weapons are damn near useless though so I'm pretty much just swapping between my best assault rifle/shotgun and pairing it with a sniper rifle/rocket launcher/grenade launcher depending on the mission. I also gave the 360 version a quick try just to see how it compares and I was surprisded at the slowdown in it compared to the Vita version, the frame rate on the Vita version just seems far more solid which is cool.

I also played a lot more Dokuro at the weekend, its great fun. The difficulty does seem to spike pretty drastically on certain stages only for the next load of levels to be much easier (its not like Exit for example which gradually gets harder as you go).

I bought mine and espoused the virtues of its glorious screen a while back, and then further expressed my love for it in my own space.

I've shown it to a few people, and so far not a single person who has held it has not fallen in love with it. One of them even went and bought one based purely on my fervent ranting about the thing. Even if the others later chose not to buy one themselves, either due to budgetary issues, or because they didn't like any of the available games (which I have told them is madness, for one go with Gravity Rush should be enough to convert anybody), they had nothing bad at all to say about the device itself.

I've not really racked up a huge collection yet - Wipeout 2048, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Ridge Racer, Gravity Rush, and Rayman Origins - I intend to get every major release for the thing eventually though. I'm not really in a good financial position at the moment.

However, one of the beautiful things about the Vita - besides its glorious, orgasmic screen and Apple-like build quality - is that it encourages you to play games you wouldn't normally play on a home console. Rayman Origins is one such game; I probably wouldn't have bought that, but it seemed to fit the Vita somehow.

I've found this as well, I must have picked up at least 20 Vita games now many of which I'd normally not try on other consoles but for some reason I gave them a try on the Vita and for the most part I've been pleasantly surprised at how fun they are. My latest game is Virtua Tennis 4, I'm not a fan of sports games at all (though to be fair I did love the first VT game) and this game just seems perfectly suited to the Vita.

Looking ahead to the new releases I've got Street Fighter X Tekken hopefully arriving today from Shopto. I've broken down and imported DJ Max and there is the Vita exclusive Assassins Creed on the way in a weeks time and a decent looking port of Need for Speed. I can't see me putting my Vita down anytime soon!
