I'm looking to eventually buy sealed UK, US, and JP copies of Tales of Symphonia, but I'm not sure how to tell if they are factory sealed or resealed. I see that the UK versions come with a tear strip with Nintendo written on it, but all the US ones on eBay do not. Is this normal? As for the JP versions (both GC and PS2), the photos posted on eBay are stock pictures, so I don't know if they have tear strips or not. I would have to ask for an actual photo of the item. Does anyone know whether these should have a Nintendo (or Playstation) tear strip or not?

Shrink in the US tends to come in two versions: thick wrap, mostly for Nintendo own and similar, and thin, almost clingfilm like wrap. I had Tales sealed when I bought it, can't remember which type of wrap was on it. Japanese games are shrinked with horizontal seals across top and bottom of the cardboard sleeve areas.

Neither have tear strips.

TMNT 2 Battle Nexus is the only one that has me worried, the others can be bought from various webshops.

I love you!
I hadn't been searching on co.uk yet.
On the Dutch eBay none show up. Just asked the seller if he'd sent to the Netherlands.

The others I need are relatively easy. Another hard one which I just bought for 18 euro's is Hunter the Reckoning.
Found one on the German eBay and noticed the age mark thingy was different from NOE copy's of the game. Asked the seller for the code and it was EUR, so that'll do nicely.

Also have another Pak on the way! Not very rare but I definately wanted this one in the collection. Will be my 10th.
I think it'll arrive tomorrow along with a sealed Mario Dance Stage Mix Pak, I've been wanting to replace my own because it was a bit discolored.

One other thing I want to replace is Darkened Skye, I have a NOE version and want a UKV or EUR one.

hehe, i just searched there for fun to see if there was any, and there was this one copy, so i thought i paste you the link since i can't afford it myself at the moment :P i won't replace any gamecube game i have, but i will be getting variants after i have complete set :P so far i have both ESP and UKV Shrek 2, and NOE and UKV WWE Day of Reckoning Player's Choice (but atleast the cover is different on those), so i bet my collection will take a lot of room in a few years, good thing is that i have 3 more rooms in my house that i havent even used for anything yet

You could dedicate a whole room to GameCube!
I just have everything in a big closet in my game room, I can't even look at it all without taking everything out.

Ahhh, I'll get a bigger house one day!

that's a bummer, have gotten a couple of those with some water damage on the cover over the years, mainly because it's not that easy to see on acution pictures and seller didnt mentioned that part

I know there's supposed to be a rental version of the Wind Waker, but haven't heard of any others.

sealed game heaven has wind waker and warioworld on their list of confirmed uk pal red tearstrip releases, but those are the only 2 i have heard about, so i'm thinking that they started to make rental games, but scrapped that idea, and only a few rental games are out there, and since those 2 are confirmed with the red tearstrip i would guess they never made it to the rental store
