It was probably Desert Strike you played on the Master System. Great version it was too.
Or Choplifter.

Did anyone see championship hockey go for £225 on ebay recently ? I had a budget of £100 for that game and was completely blown away by the final sale price!!

Yeah, incredible stuff what some retro games are going for now. I know it isn't helpful saying this but I remember when that game was going for £30ish on a good day :S

I don't own a SMS (I have a SMS Converter) and I don't ever plan on buying one, I don't plan on getting games for the system either but I had to get Ninja Gaiden. I recently just bought it, when I saw some gameplay footage I have to admit I was very impressed, and I just had to own it. :D

That's insane. When I was collecting SMS I quite often got that game as part of bundles I bought via local classified adds. I've had a handful of them passing through my hands over the years, and I've never paid more than £5 for one.

Has it really become that rare?!

Or is the new breed of SMS collectors just ridiculously impatient?

To see how rare championship hockey is, try searching for it over the next week or so (or even year)... The chances are you won't see a single copy (even if you expand your search worldwide).

I took the picture the best I can, there's crap all over the floor while i'm having a sort out and awaiting more shelfs for the billy you can't see in this picture.

I'm also working on restoring a Sega Mega-Tech Arcade machine, I have a few Master System games for that too :P

Thanks guys and Marcus, yours is coming along quite nicely as well. You've got a good pace! I managed to complete the set in just about 1 and 3/4 year. Some say very quickly, but I found it to go smooth but not rushed. Overpaid for 2-3 games but other than that it was definitely under the market value for most of them.
