A friend of ours has said that they are now father lacking in anything too decent... a downsize means they're only on the ground floor now, nothing in the basement. Still worth a look if you're in the area though :)

It could be that the last indie store, in my area, could be closing soon. "Kart club" in Aldershot is a decent shop with a variety of modern/retro/dvd's/ figures. I bought my mint Multi-mega from here amongst some amazing saturn games from their previous store.
However i have heard that the shopping arcade, that they are situated in, is due to close down. sad news if true as there is sod all else other than GAME around here.

Oldskoolgamer is a good shop. I went into the old store last year and picked up a few things at good prices. Price wise they are far better than my other fairly local retro store in afflecks palace who have some crazy prices!!

Hi guys has anybody ever been to Game dojo in Lytham St. Annes?
I've checked it out I'm thinking of going on Saturday. But i will be travelling all the way from Burnley in Lancashire. Does anyone from the Blackpool area have any tips on good retro game shops in the Blackpool area?

I second Level Up, been there a few times since we found out about it, great selection of retro (at great prices most importantly!) and Lucy also gives good trade in value on games as well.

I've got a week off in June, looking for somewhere not too far from North Wales to visit a good retro shop with good prices. Going to look through this thread see if I can find anything ^_^

Hi Guys,

This is my 1st post :)

I have been visiting the website since before Xmas and decide to join in the fun!

I took my little girl swiming at Splash in Sheringham Nofolk the other week and noticed that The Classic Game is no longer trading by the looks of things as the shop was empty. I didnt know how I went about updating the front page:

Kind regards - an1dr2ew3

The Classic Game Confirmed GeorgieUK 42 - 44 Cromer Road, Sheringham, Norfolk NR26 8RR 01263 826244

Hey guys,

I am in the process of opening the store it will be fully open to the public in a matter of days, I will be stocking most things retro on one side of the store and modern gaming on the other..

I currently have in physical stock over 800 retro games for various consoles with mega drive games being my most common games.

I also have various consoles which include, NES, SNES, MASTER SYSTEM, MEGA DRIVE, N64, GAMECUBE, AMSTRAD CPC464, GAMEBOYS INCLUDING ORINGAL TO COLOR DS TO DSi. SEGA SATURN MORE DOUBT SOME MORE AS TIME GOES BY AS I HAVE ONLY JUST STARTED COLLECTING ABOUT A WEEK AGO!

The store is located at the following address: R U Game 10 Front Street, Prudhoe, Northumberland, NE42 5QY.

I am a gaming fanatic after and after working for the Government for numerous years and suddenly having my job took away from me I invested my redundancy into opening a store for gamers of all ages to enjoy!

I will be having in store competitions, have multiple systems setup over time so you can come in and play on consoles and enjoy some of your favourite games!

1st competition of the month is a fastest lap competition using Forza 4 and a Driving simulator including full force feedback official wheel.

In the US, I just discovered a gem in the middle of nowhere... Lost Ark in Greensboro, NC

www.lostarkvideogames.com

These stores notoriously do poorly in this part of the world so I'm doing my best to support it!

There's a retro-gaming shop in Lyon with some arcade cabinets:
Gamespirit.
They have a website from which you can shop:
http://www.gamespirit69.com/fr/
Their adress:
22 rue Francklin 69002 Lyon

I made a video inside the shop today:

http://youtu.be/01W1xJgiFZg

So sad to think that 15 years ago, when I started collecting, there were tons of those shops around there (new york games, city game, new city game, neo ayato, independance game, fan games, addon, stack games, score games, neopolis, mangatik, softy and of course, huge stocks in the cash converters. Used to spend all my saturday afternoons to search around for good deals, good old times...) when there's only them nowadays. And not talking about the arcade centers...

Another shop from which I bought oftenly (online):
Gameswave (in Lilles). Fast shipping, accurate descriptions.
http://www.gameswave.com/restock/

As for Neo-Ayato, I bought a lot of stuff from them but they've been in a Metal Slug 1 counterfeit story for nearly a decade so...
