Your argument as to why it sucks for sellers makes no sense. The packaging and postage costs are neutral. The seller pays them with the money the buyer sent over for p&p. It's not part of the actual sale and thus a seller should not expect to make money with it. That's not how it is meant to be. So, it makes no sense for a seller to ship separately UNLESS they have an automated system in place that works on a one-by-one basis like zoverstocks. This is a practical concern though, not a financial.

it wanst an argument against you or anybody mate i was just unsure as to wether the rules were in relation to just postage or or p&p .. thats all i was getting at and of course noone wants to pay more than necessary.... and i wasnt trying to condone sellers trying to make a few quid by charging ludacris postage.... of course im sure sellers and buyers alike would prefer combined postage it saves money all round

See, I wouldn't have minded. I sent a request for the final amount he wanted, and if he had come back and said that he wanted £5 for postage, that would have been fine with me.

Far as I see it, if he prices his games at 99p each, then he's no right to get shirty when his games sell for 99p. If he wanted £2.99 a pop, he should have priced them at £2.99 a pop. :)

Doesn't matter. Much happier day on eBay as I won a nice copy of Shenmue for £15. :) :)

Just gets better. Asked for a shipping quote from an eBay seller for a single PAL game from Spain to England.

50 Euro.

I kid you not.

Do the Spanish postal service charge some ridiculous amount to post something to England?

I'm confused at this auction:- http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Resident-Evil-Code-Veronica-massive-playable-demo-Dreamcast-Dream-promo-/140703591968?pt=UK_PC_Video_Games_Video_Games_JS&hash=item20c2966e20#ht_968wt_1270

Resident Evil Code Veronica demo that was on the Official Dreamcast Magazine. Started at £14.99, and has been bid up to £20. Is this really all that rare?

Indeed, its not exactly rare its just collectible since its resident evil, but yeah ive had it before and sold it for £40. Does seem to be collectible and sells for a fair bit when it shows up.

Yeah I was having a look at that too, it didn't jump until the last 3-4 seconds. I think I'll stick with my re-release copy

Absolutley no way - I could never justify that sort of expenditure for what is essentially a piece of paper. Obviously I am in no position to comment on any individuals finances as to why they would consider splashing out so much, but I was out of the running after it went over £50!

A few people got in touch with me asking if that WCS2 looked genuine or not, but none of them won it. £808 seems a lot,but at least I am no longer the owner of the most expensive copy !

Firstly, thanks for this. I was trying to find somewhere to relevantly link my eBay auction without being annoying and spammy.

Anyway, I've just put up for auction a SNES copy of Megaman 7 and it's the fully English PAL cartridge:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110831198852?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649#ht_500wt_1202

I realise it's a collectors item, (especially after I put it up and a various number of people immediately contacted me with their 'offers'), and I've checked it out now.

The auction ends on Friday and thanks again.

Small ebay question (non paying bidder)

Postby HaZ » Thu Mar 01, 2012 11:56 pm

Sold something on ebay at auction, winning bidder from america has failed to pay after 7 days and ignored two pm's so I opened a case. He/she is not responding to that either and I was just wondering as it's coming up to the 4th day, will I still be able to make a second chance offer to one of the people outbid after I close the case for the final sale fee's to be refunded? I don't fancy re-listing it again..

Any help would be appreciated.
