Nightowljrm wrote:Alright, this one's gonna be kinda hard... It's been bothering me for a while. Some guy ported it as an app on the Android Market, I downloaded it, played it, thought it was awesome, got a new phone, and it's off the market... probably for copyright reasons, but I'm just speculating. Anyway, details about the game:
System: Famicom Exclusive (I don't believe it was for the disk system but I could be wrong)
Gameplay: It was a faster-paced 2D (duh) action game. The guy looked a bit like a samurai and had a bird, what I assume to be a falcon, on his shoulder you could attack with. I remember picking up multiple scrolls as items on this game, even from the very first level. Whether or not they work as coins or as MP or something, I do not remember... I think at the end of every level there was a card-based duel system, but it was nothing related to Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh, Digimon, or anything like that. It was its own thing as far as I know.
Level Design: I don't really remember many of the levels, but I recall the first stage (maybe level two of stage one?) had a part where the water rose and fell. You had to avoid it to stay alive. It was almost a beach-like, tropical, yet forest-looking level.
That's really all the information I can give... It's been a year since I've played it and I just remembered it. I'm dying to give it a proper playthrough.

I remember a beating heart being an end of level boss emerging from a wall.
Thats all I have to go by though and it drives me insane

In the game you played a dragon, and flying caused your heart rate to go up- if you didnt rest you had a heart attack!!
great game though..Cauterize wrote:The one to this date I still can't work out is on the Commodore Amiga.

Spock wrote:Looking for a fighting game for the PSX I believe it was. The only thing I can remember about it was it being very ... mellow. A woman's voice says very calmly "Player Triumphant" when you beat the opponent or knock them over the edge of the arena. I think it began with an X or a Z but I'm not too sure. And I don't think it was human's that was fighting but rather robots? I don't know!
It isn't Zero Divide incase you see robots and make the connection!
It has been bugging me for months so any help is great
Thanks!

Pretty sure its SSG though.
Lord_Santa wrote:Redstar wrote:Also a game for system that I dont know what its name was, possibly an Amiga? I really dont know what the system was. It was a very long time ago and my memory was hazy. My dad borrowed it from his work place at the time. I had it around the time when I got the SFC (Very close to the SFC launch I think)
We had it with a flight simulator style of game (Point of view from the cockpit). It was supposed to be the most realistic flying game at the time. It had wire-frame style graphics. We could not get the damn plane to take off. I think we had it for a week tops before my dad gave it back. What was that flight sim game?
that is most likely Flight Simulator 1 for the Apple II, or Flight Simulator 2 for the C-64, both by SubLOGIC
there is a slight chance that it is Flight Simulator 3, which (apparently) was Flight Simulator 2, for the Amiga, though
I remember Flight Simulator 2 being impossible to start, as well
or should I say, I managed to get it started, but I never left the runway, due to the complexity of the controls
also available on other systems, but those were the most popular (AFAIK)

isnt much to go on i know, but hopefully it rings a bell for someone that can help me
