For my game "GALER: Plague of heroes", here is a little bit of info on the story and how it came to be-

The underlying theme of this game is that I have felt the world has been headed straight to hell for over 15 years now... The main characters (protagonists), are actually labelled as anti-religious enemies by the richest man in the world, who has been tricked into thinking he is the next holy savior of GALER. Much of the game is attempting to convince the rest of the world that there is no God up above, and that the true enemy is something we have yet to see but resides in the earth.

New Indie hardcore puzzle game inspired by Zachtronics games

Postby izark » Mon Mar 06, 2017 10:07 am

Hi! I hope to get some feedback for this hardcore programming puzzle game I developed inspired by Zachtronics games : Mind-Machine Interface: graphics, bugs, difficulty, anything you want to talk about. Also, I wanted to gather some help to greenlight this game I made inspired by great Zachtronics games (like TIs-100) and Human Resource Machine. Vote if you think it is good enough!

Mind-Machine Interface is a programming puzzle game where you use blocks and circuit segments on a matrix to buil a program that manipulates pixels and numbers. Puzzles are hard, open ended and focus on very different ideas: Bouncing ball, sequence sorters, path finding algorithms, etc.

[!] A new game that revives many arcade classics

Postby Jacowaco » Wed Mar 08, 2017 8:23 pm

Hi everyone!

I've always been a fan of the old games, my favorite console is the famicom and i don't own any modern console.

I studied multimedial arts and joined with a group of 5 friends to make videogames. We are all nostalgic for diferent old games but we also like cartoons and computer games, so we decided to make our own modern videogame honoring many of the games that we love.
We formed a small indie game studio and we have been working very hard for years to make games. We specialize on 2D animation and we do some work for clients to buy food while we make our own games.

We made a game called Juanito Arcade Mayhem. This is the first time we make a Steam game and we have been working on it for more than 4 years! (in between other works). I hope you like it and any feedback is very much appreciated! :)

Here you can see some gifs we made, the main mechanic is based on the Super Pang, and every "world" inside the game is based on another game like Wonderboy, Donkey Kong, Kung Fu Master, Snow Bros, Pacman, Tetris and more.

It is now on Steam Greenlight, so if you liked the concept and have a Steam account and want to vote or share with your friends, it really helps. Otherwise, I would really like to hear your opinion and feedback :D

They look fantastic, and the retro inspired backgrounds within the game itself also look fab.

If this was a kickstarter for a console, I'd be all over it, any plans to expand upon Steam?

Thanks a lot for your words! We really wish to publish in the console market but we really don't have too much information or contacts to be able to publish there. We started in Steam because it is accesible to anyone, and we even planned to publish in the mobile stores as they easy to access too. But if the game reaches some popularity on Steam, maybe we can get in touch with Console developers and get the game there.
Some years ago in a event we talked with a guy from PS Vita and he really liked the game but it was still on beta so we will see what happens next.
Any idea/recommendation is very helpful :)

Paradox Soul Dark and mysterious 2D "metroidvania" Game

Postby Ritualgames » Sat Mar 11, 2017 9:27 pm

Paradox Soul is a 2D explorative action-shooter hybrid. Cram-packed with cool weapons, evil enemies and epic boss fights! Shoot, dodge and dash your way through this nightmarish metroidvania game!

Image

We wanted to create a game that was both explorative yet engaging, challenging but rewarding and nostalgic but not dated.

One thing we dislike about many explorative games is back-tracking with no purpose. We are always aiming to reward the player wherever back-tracking is required. Those rewards come in different but exciting game changing power ups.

Mages of Mystralia

Very cool looking game that is already basically finished but the creators are looking for funds / backers for extra polish and beta-testing.
