An iPhone-owning friend tried the port a few days ago after I told him about my problems with the game. He said the iPhone version isn't much better...

Double-post!

I went car-booting for the first time this year and bought these for £1 each:

Image

Nothing special, but I can't complain for the price. Well, except for Time Crisis 3 - that has no disc. I checked them all when sorting the games, but put that on the "keep" pile instead of the "don't buy this crap!" pile. Doh.

There was the usual stall selling loads PS2, PSX and even a few SMS games - but, as per usual, they wanted at least a fiver per game ("I could get fifteen quid for that on eBay, mate!")... Yeah, no.

And a new record for the number of stalls selling pirated DVDs! Five separate stalls. Disappointingly, they all had huge crowds around them - they were quite popular. Sigh.

</rant>

EDIT: Is sixth-generation console stuff still "modern", or should that live in the "retro" section? I wouldn't really class the PS2 as retro, but the site does have a list of Xbox games...

Triple post... This thread sure isn't very popular. Although, given that the site is called RetroCollect, that's not hugely surprising. :)

This fun letter arrived yesterday, which lead to this arriving today:

got a great little haul of ps2 games on my way to work last night at game:
silent scope - 99p

gunbird - 99p

manhunt - 2.99
viewtiful joe 2 - £2.99
area 51 steelbook version £2.99

all in the buy 2 and get one free (cheapest one only free) so i made the girl run them through as 2 seperate transactions so the whole lot came to just under a tenner (which is what cex sell godhand for on its own!)

gave godhand a bash last night and its absolutely mental abd great fun. loved it when Poison Chihuahua came on!

Nice. I opened my first edition Pier Solar (couldn't resist!), although it was only the Jap style, the PAL version was already sold out when I pre-ordered :(

Anyway, this week I've bought:

Dragon Age II Signature Edition (PC) - £24.99
Golden Sun: Dark Dawn (DS) - £19.99

I love Bioware games. I've been a fan since the first BG and they've never let me down, so I'm pretty hyped for DA2. I plan to start playing tonight :D

I was getting a bit tempted to buy a 3DS when it comes out, but realised I haven't really made that much use of my original DS. So decided I'd be better off getting a few of the games I've missed out on:

Other than Super Mario, most of these were dirt cheap, all complete and in excellent condition. Even the VIP codes are unscratched. Seems like now is a pretty good time to buy them.

That's a nice selection of DS games there. Trackmania is fab, spent many hours on that and Viewtiful Joe too is one of my favourite DS games. I'd love to know what you think of Ivy the Kiwi, it's been in my consciousness for a while but I haven't got it.

Sadly as getting new games isnt an option out here in Nam I folded today and picked up an R4 which finally gave my DS an influx of new blood 12 months after I moved here, had a good bash on Diddy Kong Racing and The World Ends With You but I'm in work early tomorrow so I've turned it off for now!

A good selection of games there. I really enjoyed playing through Ninjatown. It's a bit easy, but is great fun.

Yep everyone of them from ebay. I think I may have had better luck because there had been a free listings weekend the week prior, so there were tons of DS games to choose from. Getting New Super Mario Bros was slightly challenging though, as it seems most copies on ebay are fake. They state they are not DSi compatible - not that I have a DSi, but Nintendo made that model block pirate carts.

I played it for about half an hour in bed this morning, and so far I'm really enjoying the game. Its got a great muted graphical style, and the whole presentation is very charming. Its not a massively challenging game so far, but quite frantic - you need to be quick with the stylus. I'm certainly glad I decided to buy it, and would recommend it. Theres also a Wii version too, I'm intrigued as to how that plays with the wiimote.

They look fantastic, I'm so tempted to purchase the physical versions from the USA myself rather than go for the (albeit cheaper) PSP download versions here in the UK. This picture has just about convinced me to seek them out. Until I saw your pic, I didn't realise that the side box art carried through between the games. Thanks for posting :D

No worries. Ys Seven is the best premium edition I have bought in years. A nice art book from the three PSP games, a lovely cloth map of the world and a soundtrack selection CD

I love Ys so much

Those Y's games look gorgeous! Major Kudos to the publishers for making them stack so nicely.

Just picked up these goodies on my way into work, ready for my 3DS upon arrival. Fingers crossed it does arrive today :)
