Well according to
Digital Foundry on Eurogamer they spent a lot of time porting the game over from PC, and have improved the game engine to even be better than the original PC version in some ways. I've had a bug-free experience so far and I haven't heard of any horror stories yet! Bethesda didn't make it, so we're alright!
I'm maybe three or four hours in so far so I can't comment, but it is a lot more difficult than I was expecting. I've been spoiled with easier games I think. So I'm saving it for my looming unemployment when I'll have time to sink my teeth into it; looking forward to the challenge.
Cracking on with Mario Galaxy now. I've played the second, so I thought I may as well play the first, and as I managed to pick up a cheap Wii component lead I can finally get my Wii working on my new TV (which came sans any composite connections, but it's so lovely I forgave it). And I love it. It's one of those games that is just pure, unbridled
fun, without any pretences about being something else. It's reminded me why I started playing video games in the first place!
