Star Wars: The Old Republic

I need some advice. Can anyone help tell me about Star Wars" The Old Republic experience? Is it worth getting? Because I went and slapped down $90 bucks for Wow and all the expansion packs but felt like it was a waste. But I really enjoyed Kotor though so I'm just curious if this is as good. Thanks
