Just completed all of the extra downloadable maps for XBox LIVE Arcade game DEFENCE GRID, including the eight PORTAL themed maps. I thoroughly enjoyed the main Defence Grid game and the extra content maps are great - to have a cross-over of games and GLaDOS' making an appearance with her quips throughout was fantastic. Well done to Valve for allowing one of their main IP's to feature so prominently in another game from another developer.

Just done Homeland on the hardest difficulty and also just cleared every chapter without dying, thus getting the Guerilla and Ironman achievements!

Fortune Summoners - Secret of the Elemental Stone (PC/Steam) - 30 hours later, finished the final dungeon (it's pretty brutal until your teammates learn their final spells) although there's a little bit of mopping-up to do (a few missing items, a new section of the final dungeon, and I only did half the trading quest). Very enjoyable action RPG with lots of charm, and it's just the right length (I can't imagine it getting much more difficult without getting insane). Will write a review imminently.

Nice one! Always have a lot of respect for people completing a game on the hardest difficulty.

I recently beat Two Worlds II on the X360. From what I've heard, definitely better than the first one, but still not all that great. Definitely not bad, though. It's good enough to kill some time if you have pocket change to spend. I wouldn't spend much more than that, though.

As fellow Retro Collect members who are friends with me on XBox LIVE will have no doubt observed - Final Fantasy XIII-2 has been preocuppying my gaming time for the last month. With the main game well and truly completed, I'm now doing all of the side quests and post end game bosses that are 10 times harder than the main game ending battle.

Strange game - parts of it I really like, but parts of it are bugging me loads - the story for starters is plain bonkers and I cannot see how anyone who has not played through the entire FFXIII game will follow what is going on, but I've finished the main game so I've definately played a lot worse.

I've recently completed Sonic Generations on both the PS3 and 3DS, both of which were surprisingly enjoyable. Making my way through Uncharted 3 at the moment, which is enjoyable but hasn't drawn me in as much as the first two.

I'm about 10 hours into Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes on DS. I'm really enjoying the straergy involved and when you're on a winning streak it's really hard to put it down.

Finished Gears of War 3 and I have Avatar Burning something on my way from lovefilm. I'll be honest, I'm only going for the 1000 achievements. It's one of those weird games I want to see me getting the achievements to believe!

Also prices are quite high on eBay for this game. I'd never never pay more than £1 for it.

It has been a while since I had played a solo campaign of an FPS, the effects and physics have much improved over the last decade, the buildings collapsing and generally the atmosphere of it.

Finished Catherine on the 360. Gotta admit I was really taken in by the story. The puzzle levels were annoying, but towards the end I did fall in love with them. Such an original game on the 360.

Finished The Walking Dead Episode 1 on the PS3. An excellent game, very good story. A bit like Heavy Rain but more zombies ;)

I finished Mirror's Edge recently, damn that game is fun when it's all going your way. If you can't get into a groove though, or you don't like the way it looks, you're going to have a very frustrating time.

I'm still working my way through Red Read Redemption despite buying it back in September. It's quietly addictive...

Started Zelda : Skyward Sword on boxing day past and finally beat it last night, probably the longest Zelda I've played, topped of around 60 or so hours for me.

Had to beat the last boss with no shield which was a pain lol

Working my way through Sonic Colours. SO glad I invested in a classic controller as it improves the experiance of playing the game 100 fold. Really rather enjoying it. Now I need to get all the other Wii Sonic games.

No, I don't have the Mario and Sonic games. I only collect the spercifically Sonic/ Sega titles and I've no realy interest in sports games. Anyway, the Sonic titles on Wii I can think of off the top of my head are

Sonic Unleashed
Sonic and the Secret Rings
Sonic and the Black Knight
Sonic Riders

Not sure if there are any more.
