Nice piccies Liamh!

A quick question to fellow DS collectors out there.

Does anyone know the reason why some ds boxes (even new ones) have a vertical slit (when it is laid flat) going through the outer casing of the box on the middle of the spine?

I've noticed this a few times before.

**edit** just like to squeeze in another DS question. Anyone know if the German or French versions of So Blonde have an in game English language option? I love me point n clicks and t'would be a shame to buy this one just to shelve it.

Simply because the person who opened the cardboard shipping box containing the games did it with a sharp knife and didn't slice carefully. You'll notice the same thing on 360, Wii, Ps3 games too.

Yup, indeed, that is the precise reason, quite frustrating too :(

Noticed an ad for the game tie-in to Amazing Spider-Man announcing it'll be coming out for DS. Guess that console is still pretty active.

Its those boxcutter samurais! Damn cases of most modern games are spine facing upwards so usually take a slice

Some of my latest DS additions, 3 of them are pretty rare to get nowdays especially new & sealed they cost a premium thanks to their single low print run. Kumatanchi, Space invaders extreme 2 & Hoshizora navi were the hardest & most expensive to get hold of.

The new Lego Batman 2 game has come out for the DS this week, I don't know if its standard or not, but I have seen it in an larger card box with a bonus Lego figure inside, could be a nice collectible item in the future.

There are so many special editions of DS games, it's not even funny. Dozens of extra styluses, figures, cards and whatnot. 2in1 Bundles only held by cardboard and multiple other collecting horrors. A full DS set including editions and bundles will be insane.
