Well, that's cheating and doesn't count as an original complete copy...

I pressed up, down, left, right, A + Start to find the cover in the first place  a quality cheat :D

Just been sorting my Mega Drive shelves to make some room for the final x34 I need for the full set - so here's a picture of the Mega Drive collection as it stands today 8-)

x33 ;-)

And that's a pretty sweet picture! Although I don't like the looks of the different covers in the Mega Drive collection (compared to the unity in the Master System library), it's still very impressive to see them like this.

Very nice Xfile! And I wish that I could have mine so nicely on shelves, but I don't have room for that at the moment.

Looks like this here right now.

Me neither, my Mega Drive games are stored in crates (in alphabetical order, mind). Your picture is equally lovely though Otherworld

Don't get too excited, although I have no idea if it's rare or not. It's one I picked up in a local store and figured it would do better in your collection as I'm not going for the full set (yet). They had a second game you still have in your wanted list, but I don't think it's worth their asking price of 6 Euro. However, I also added a part of that game in the box. Boy, listen to me being all mysterious :p
How is the general rarity of the games still missing from your collection? Anything still common on there?

That pleases my eyes very much! I'm a bit of a "clean freak" when it comes to that. I'd have it set up like yours and then a-to-z. Even with the Master System games, there are some spines that have a game picture on them and some don't, they look a lot better to me when I separate those into little sets.

On a side note, don't you get crushed boxes stacking them like that? I know MD boxes are better than the MS ones, but still don't think it's the best solution.

There's probably more expensive ones left on the list than cheaper ones... probably a 70/30 split now... the 70% being the more pricier titles... lol

Both collection displays are much better than mine

Mine kind of in a two-part unit & a glass bookcase, all crammed in my games room, I should really sort some shelving out, one day!

Great collections though!

40 games for me to go, but that's including the cardboard box game Ishido & the Flux cartridge. So it's kind of 38 really

Nope, it never got a Euro release :). I'm tempted to go take pics of mine now, got over 700 MD games at the minute and still need 55 for the PAL set lol! Really need to stop getting sidetracked with the variation hunting!

As ninjabearhug said, it's not a PAL release, but I just wanted all the cardboard box Ballistic releases :D

Don't really see a topic yet to ask about the value of games, so here seems like the best place.

Garfield, is it a difficult one to pick up? I see very high BIN's but no recently ended (successful) auctions.
Also some more games that I can pick up tomorrow night that I'm not sure how much they usually go for.

- Captain Planet
- Bonkers
- Turbo Outrun
- Ristar (around 10£ I think?)

Staying on topic, for my Master System set I had a very handy list that I used to tick off the games once they came in. Anyone who uses one for the MD? I know that that is what this database is for, but I'm looking at a PDF file to print out that has squares for Cart, Box, Instructions.

I have been a member of retro collect for around six months and visit here daily, but have only been able to start posting in the forums recently due to a problem I had with signing in, I will hopefully get around to posting my collection pictures and telling my collection story within the next couple of weeks.
A quick doff of the cap to a couple of other posters I frequently see posting in the forums, namely Xfile2708 and Ninjabearhug, keep up the good work on youtube guys.
My main reason for posting today is a plea to other megadrive collectors, I have the quite rare jap only copy of palsofts double dragon 2 in good condition but sadly lacking the instructions, I know it's a big ask but does anybody happen to have a spare manual they would like to sell or trade, If so please pm me.

Aha, found it in their lite section. Couldn't find the system in their list but apparently they have it linked. It does have the GBI (Game Box Instructions) next to it.

http://www.digitpress.com/lists/

It says Genesis PAL and seems to be an ok list. Will use this for now and see if it's complete or not. I'm getting into it more and more every day :p
Gotta watch the money pit so I don't fall in head first though!
