Postby mr_wistles » Wed Feb 15, 2012 8:34 pm

Evening all,

I see a US game in the list called "Fahrenheit", why is this?

Thanks.

Because it is a game and we are a game database?!

No, it's not a PAL game, what makes you think it is?

hydr0x, it's listed twice in the Mega-CD section - once as PAL, once as US. :)

could be that the US games have been added to that list already :P since all US games will be added eventually, and the list for those Mega-CD's could already be complete and checked, so no reason to not add them? that is just what i think, but then again i have no information about Mega-CD

Yes, that's absolutely correct as the current list view is about releases, not games. We'll offer a pure game view in the future which will combine both into one search result but the current view shows games per collectors region. Thus, a game released in the US and Europe will show up twice, unless they were considered one region as with the Jaguar. Don't worry, for the statistics page you'll be able to choose if you want all PAL or all PAL+US or whatever other way you want to collect. Currently, the US games will count for the full set but only because the few in the database are merely there as test cases.

All makes sense, hydr0x - thanks for explaining :)

And mr-wistles - I don't know if Fahrenheit came out in the UK, but there are definitely French and German versions out there.
