Since, I too, am current'y "Just outside Glasgow" I simply have to ask where abouts :P I'm in Johnstone :)

Paisley myself, have been for a little over 10 years though hoping when my employment status changes to move to the big(ger) smoke...Glasgow :D

Thankfully though the town's got plenty of places to pick up some gaming bargains :)

Welcome fellow Scot! I'm in Paisley quite a lot these days...are you the one buying up all the retro bargains before me then? lol!

I even have a route that I follow from getting off the bus to getting back on it again and being able to hit all the charity shops/gamestation/cash converters on the way XD

Thanks and yeah I may well be

Been taking a fair old advantage of the Gamestation multi-buy deals - ended up buying loads for PS, PS2 and XBox under their 5 for £5 and 5 for £10 deals :) Charity shops have been good for me too though it's getting difficult now most of the best ones are gone :P Too many blasted football games being traded in

Did manage to get a PS1 at GS for £2.99 a short while back, though it's one of the lesser versions and I think the motor/laser's on the way out. Can't complain for that kind of cash though, my original 1002 cost £260 on launch back in '95

Hi, my real name is David, been collecting on and off for years, pretty much just Nintendo stuff, especially SNES. I make my living buying and selling all kinds of retro stuff, mainly Lego, Airfix and of course retro (and modern) games. :)

Hello everyone!

Visitor of this site for some while now and decided to create an account yesterday. Nice to see there are so many people who also like playing and collecting video games for the older systems!

Collecting for some time now but not specific for a certain system. I like to collect for systems that I owned back in the days but also for systems that I dind't own back then but do find interesting :D

There are so many great systems with many great games to collect for. Back in the days it costed a small fortune to own a few of them and buying new games once in a while. Many of those games are still as playable now as they where back then but now you can own many of them for the same price as you had to pay to rent them back then or even less.

I often visit things like flee markets to look for new items. Got many great finds from them and every time visiting one it's a surprise what stuff to encounter really love to do that kind of "treasure hunting" 8-).

Well this will be it for now, great site by the way!

Hi all,

My names Clive, from Keswick in Cumbria, took a hiatus from Retro Gaming / Collecting for quite a while with an expanding family (4 Kids :o ) youngest is now 3 so I've brought the old consoles back out and got really into them again last year :D

I collect for anything really that takes my fancy so not looking to collect for anything specific but I do love my SNES :P

Anyway that's a little about me and look forward to see you all in the forums 8-)

Hi everyone,
I'm Ken, and I write about games.

I got into the retro scene many years ago, but had my entire collection pretty much given away by a spiteful ex-girlfriend. Didn't think about getting back into it for a good 7 years, but now I've started out (yesterday!) by trying to build up a library of PAL Dreamcast titles to replace the ones that mistakenly went to the tip when I moved house last year. I really should look after stuff more. :)

Hence, my "games owned" only shows "2" - but that'll pick up over the next few weeks. :)

Pleased to meet you all :)

Hi Katsu! Indeed, I currently run my own blog (which I don't update very often) at http://www.rewiredmind.com but most of my work is at http://www.kinectronic.com, which I own - I also do a lot of freelance stuff for various sites. :)

Hope I'm allowed to post those links. Mods, please remove if not! :)

Oops, didn't see this part at first.

Long story short I'm Greg from Scotland, used to collect and had a very substantial collection of Sega and Nintendo stuff but made a crazy decision to sell it all 5 years ago

Its been niggling me for a while and I started looking on Ebay again, bought a DC and I'm hooked again, on a mission to get everything back but looking at the price difference from years ago to now I can see it's going to cost me!!

Edit....Oh and nice site, love being able to store my collection on-line!! :)

Hello everyone :D , i joined up after reading the piece in last months Retro Gamer magazine and thought, hey why not.

Anyhow, My name is Darren from South Shields, im a massive (and long suffering if I might add) Newcastle United and Formula 1 fan but also (since getting a Master System for christmas one year), a huge SEGA 8 and 16 bit fan. I've also since become interested in Sony and been a collector for PS1 and PS2 games as well as Mega Drive and Master System games. And I've also just begun to branch out into handhelds starting off with the Gameboy Advance before acquiring my new pride and joy, an Atari Lynx.

My favourite game of all time is the very first game I was given for my SMS, Alex Kidd In Miracle World, for me its the one game that defines everything that was so great about the Master System and was an early example of what it was capable of

So hello again, the site looks great and I look forward to chatting with you all 8-)
CURRENTLY PLAYING: Epic Mickey, Power Of Illusion (3DS), Crystal Mines 2 (Lynx), Family Guy, Back To The Multiverse (PS3)
LAST GAME COMPLETED: New Super Mario Bros U (Wii U)
