Yup, never had the money really but I'll hopefully get it early next year. Would be my first complete collection so I'm quite looking forward :)

I'm Tyron, from the RetroGamer forum. Here to support Adam, and hopefully to contribute! Am going for a complete PAL Gameboy collection - original at the moment but I do branch out to GBC and GBA when I see a bargain!

Nice to see a few RG forumites over here! ;)

Might as well introduce myself as well. I'm Tepid Snake from the Retro Gamer forums, and I was asked to contribute to RetroCollect by writing reviews, which I've been doing for a few weeks now (under the name Ant Cooke). Hopefully I'm doing a decent job. I also have my own little website which you can find in my signature.

I collect mostly for the Mega Drive (my favourite console), Game Boy, Playstation 1 & 2 and Saturn, but I'll play anything once (except JRPGs, unless they're short and sweet). The more bizarre a game, the better! However, I'm not dedicated enough to go for a complete collection for any console- I'd never have time to play them all!

Howdy. I mainly kick about the NTSC-UK forums, but I do post on others including Retro Gamer.

I play retro and modern games and have a sizeable collection spanning serveral consoles from the PC Engine up to the Xbox 360.

Hi, new around here. Great site by the way.

I am Chris 31 years young/old. And I am from Cambridge. I am a huge SEGA and Nintendo fan, having separated parents as a child meant a console at each home, so every cloud and all that

I sold my entire retro collection back in 2005 when I had to move to a smaller place, so have recently started to re-collect SNES/Super Famicom, Game Boy and SEGA Saturn.

Hope to stick around here, place seems just like what I was looking for.

Hi, another regular from the RG forum here.
I'm Liam, 28 from Wrexham.
My first console was a Philips VideoPac - retro even in '88! Since then I've built up a sizable collection but I've got to say the Saturn's my favourite console, even though my favourite game is Super Mario World.

Videopac, eh? I own the french version of that (damn, forgot to mention in my system list..) with a few games. I'd love to get it into our database, shouldn't be that hard actually, not too many games and mostly well documented ;)

The holy grail for me would to be able to find a Gamate Compact Video Game System. Games are not so great, but the handheld collector in me needs this

I just got myself a Hartung Game Master and a Hartung SuperVision so I can certainly understand this. A Gamate would be a nice one to have :)

Hi, I'm Cass and I was pointed here by a friend's blog on GameSpot.

As a long-time NES fan, I have longed for a PAL-centric retro resource for many years. Sifting through the same archaic US 8-bit fansites gets a bit old... but finally, a decent PAL site appears. Everything here looks great and I'm looking forward to getting to know some more local gamers and collectors. My collecting habits cover the whole spectrum of gaming, from Channel F to Xbox 360, consoles and computers, so I have no doubt I'll find plenty here to keep me occupied!

P.S. Unlike most of you guys, I'm afraid I don't hang out at the RetroGamer forums. I am an avid reader of the mag, though! :D

SuperVision hasn't arrived yet unfortunately (wheather) but here's the Game Master.

A Channel F list wouldn't be that long, would it?

26 original Fairchild releases, plus several European variants from companies like SABA and Luxor. Not that long a list at all, which is why I'm hoping to track down the whole lot eventually. The games are nearly all terrible, but the console is at least a little piece of history and a nice conversation item.

Postby JoeMD » Sat Dec 18, 2010 12:46 am

Hello everyone, I've been here for a while but only just getting around to posting in this thread.

I'm Joe, and I'm a Sega fan-boy. My first console was the Master System which I loved but it was playing Sonic 2 that turned me into a gamer. I've only been collecting retro stuff for about two years now after finding a copy of Retro Gamer Magazine, having all the memories brought back, and really wanting to play those games again. I jumped on eBay, bought myself a MDII and a few games and I've not looked back.

I also have a Dreamcast which I play off and on, but my favorite is the Mega Drive. No other console matches up to it for me.While I play the DC periodically it's the MD that always pulls me back.

Loving the site, loving everyone's photos and I'm looking forward to more retro conversation.

Cheers.
