Hello there new members!

Before you start posting in and creating new topics please take a moment to introduce yourself here, tell us about yourself, what consoles and games you enjoy? What made you rediscover your retro gaming past?

Before starting a new topic please take a moment to look through the already created ones and you can search for discussions with the search tool search.php

We already have numerous discussions dedicated to collecting each format and we refer to them as the 'Unite' threads, here is the SNES unite topic viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1345 .We have several daily activity pages such as WGGIWW viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4809 and Must Play Monday viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4561 that offer different and interesting discussions.

Please do not abuse the site and use it as free advertising for your blog or YT channel, there is a YT thread where you can link a few of your own videos but don't abuse it.

Shouldn't have to say this also but please refrain from post boosting to access the trade forum, if you post 25 times in very short succession it will result in posts being merged or deleted.

Cauterize sent me an invite so I thought I'd come over and see what all the fuss is about ;) . It's actually a good site for me to be joining as I'm just about to venture into the world of NES/SNES games (for the 3rd time...) and I deleted all my old lists  .

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Stew, 30, West Yorks UK. I'm an absolute Sega freak and am aiming for one of every Sega PAL game released for all the Sega consoles (yes, Pico too), including any PAL box/cartridge variations. I also collect console variations, in particular SMS/MD as they are my favourite consoles :). I'm 3 games off a complete PAL SMS set and I'm working on a full MD set but I keep getting sidetracked :p.

I'm sure a few of you guys recognise my name from RG :)

I am a Jock who lives in the heart of Jockland.

I have a complete NGPC collection and currently working towards a full GC set, this will take some time though. I also have a substantial percentage of both the N64 & DC catalogue but I can't see me finishing the N64 one, not really fully engaged with the DC either :?

I'd like to contribute to the database with reviews/synopsis and that sort of gubbins once it's sorted/I'm motivated :D

Ello all, another regular from the RG forum here, come to see what the site is like.

Just exploring, but i like what i see. Good work fellas. Long may it continue! :D

My gaming interests are similar to AJ above, NGPC (just missing the box and instructions for Pocket Reversi :( ) for a full set. Also looking to get a full PAL GC set. Long way to go there though. Other systems i collect for are Gameboy (in all it's many guises) and SNES.

Currently losing interest in my Atari 2600 which is a shame, but i'm just not feeling the love at the moment.

Got a couple of current gen systems (Wii, PS3), but they always take a backseat to retro.

Hi everybody.

I'm dste from RG which is where I came here from.

At the moment I'm collecting for the Cube and would say that I'm about 15-20 games from completing a collection that I'm happy with.

My all time favourite console is the SNES which I've had since release date and also really love the Dreamcast.

Heh, looks like we have pretty similar interests. I once was on my way to a full SNES set, have stopped because of financial reasons. I'm still going for a full Cube set though and my Dreamcast set is only missing one game which I'll hopefully get in January!

Welcome aboard anyone, it's great to have you all here. Let's make this a great community together :D

I know what you mean, the price of SNES games can be rather high especially as I have to go for complete games. At some point next year I'm going to go back to collecting for it but I know that it will be a lot harder to pick up games than for the Cube.

I admire people who go for full sets (like nokgod and Angry Jock) with the Cube but personally I just go for the games I want. I just don't have the space nor inclination to own games that I will most likely never play.

What game are you missing for the Dreamcast?

Yeah, I collect CIB only so SNES is a bit pricey right now. The dreamcast game I'm missing is Samba de Amigo :(

Nice to see a few RG forumites over here! ;)

Might as well introduce myself as well. I'm Tepid Snake from the Retro Gamer forums, and I was asked to contribute to RetroCollect by writing reviews, which I've been doing for a few weeks now (under the name Ant Cooke). Hopefully I'm doing a decent job. I also have my own little website which you can find in my signature.

I collect mostly for the Mega Drive (my favourite console), Game Boy, Playstation 1 & 2 and Saturn, but I'll play anything once (except JRPGs, unless they're short and sweet). The more bizarre a game, the better! However, I'm not dedicated enough to go for a complete collection for any console- I'd never have time to play them all!

Howdy. I mainly kick about the NTSC-UK forums, but I do post on others including Retro Gamer.

I play retro and modern games and have a sizeable collection spanning serveral consoles from the PC Engine up to the Xbox 360.

Hi, new around here. Great site by the way.

I am Chris 31 years young/old. And I am from Cambridge. I am a huge SEGA and Nintendo fan, having separated parents as a child meant a console at each home, so every cloud and all that

I sold my entire retro collection back in 2005 when I had to move to a smaller place, so have recently started to re-collect SNES/Super Famicom, Game Boy and SEGA Saturn.

Hope to stick around here, place seems just like what I was looking for.

Hi, another regular from the RG forum here.
I'm Liam, 28 from Wrexham.
My first console was a Philips VideoPac - retro even in '88! Since then I've built up a sizable collection but I've got to say the Saturn's my favourite console, even though my favourite game is Super Mario World.

Videopac, eh? I own the french version of that (damn, forgot to mention in my system list..) with a few games. I'd love to get it into our database, shouldn't be that hard actually, not too many games and mostly well documented ;)

Good news for you then, we are currently working on the Xbox list and it's standing at roughly 776 games not counting all the special ed/collections/variants etc etc
