 Earlier this year, Matthias Hullin revealed his updated model of the ultimate USB cartridge solution for the Sega Mega Drive and Super Nintendo known as the Retrode. Just a few months after the initial tease, the pre-order form for the new Retrode opened up this week allowing gamers to secure their devices for the September release.
 On the 23rd July, the arcade classic Galaga will also be adding it’s name to the long list of gaming birthdays this year. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the shooter, Namco have released a remix collection of Galaga games on the Apple iPhone.
 Shinobi is back after nearly a decade in hiding, with what appears to be a homage to the series' roots. A gameplay video of the upcoming Shinobi prequel was recently demoed at E3, featuring plenty of Mega Drive inspired action set for the Nintendo 3DS.
 Among all the announcements at E3, here's one you might've missed, from Ignition Entertainment- Vanillaware, of Odin Sphere and GrimGrimoire fame, are bringing the scrolling brawler back with RPG elements in the form of Dragon's Crown, exclusively for PS3 and PS Vita.
 While Nintendo we're showcasing their newest developments at E3, the manufacturer of the SupaBoy handheld; Hyperkin was reminding gamers of their retro gaming past. The upcoming portable Super Nintendo was demonstrated at the show, offering what appears to be the ultimate solution to SNES gaming on the go.
