Hardware modifier Bacteria has well and truly outdone himself this time, squeezing a massive fifteen retro consoles into one wonderful unit - and has even built a set of comprehensive how-to's so you can build one yourself.

Those who closely follow the homebrew scene will already be familiar with last year's fantastic ZX Spectrum release known as Endless Forms Most Beautiful. This frantic arcade platformer with a twist has now headed to the Commodore Amiga, not only sporting new graphics and audio, but a new name too - The Incredible Adventures of Moebius Go [ … ]

While modern gamers may seem to be the ones most anticipating the upcoming Oculus Rift virtual reality gaming headset, there's actually a good reason why retro gamers should also look towards this futuristic kit. One early adopter of the development kit has been making the most of it by emulating fabled Nintendo Virtual Boy games in true 3D.

Flashback HD may well have been the most impressive announcement made by Ubisoft earlier today at Spring 2013 Digital Days, but there was another iconic classic getting the remake treatment that was sadly overshadowed - Jordan Mechner's 1993 cinematic platformer, Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame.

Often dubbed the worst game of all time, Superman for the Nintendo 64 has gained one of the worst reputations of all time in the gaming world, and quite rightly so. Mediocrity aside, an early prototype version of Titus Software's fabled game has surfaced online, which believe it or not, some are claiming to be better than the retail release.

In the late 90s Nintendo released a perfect port of their physical deck-duelling epic, the Pokemon Trading Card Game. Majin Eiyuuden Wataru Gaiden, the 1990 Nintendo Famicom action-RPG developed by Westone (based upon the anime series of the same name), has received the much needed fan translation treatment.

While Krikzz and the many other flash cartridge manufactuers have producing all in one solutions to enjoy every game ever released for various consoles on one cartridge, where does this leave arcade gamers? Although there have been 'Multigame' solutions available for some time, none have quite offered the openness that gamers have desired. That is [ … ]

Throughout the course of Game Freak's franchise, you've always required access to an equally obsessed Pokemaniac to catch 'em all. The Amiga's on-board sound chip produced some of the most memorable audio ever heard from gaming hardware to date.
