If there is one game we don't mind being remade over and over again, it's Manic Miner. An updated port of Matthew Smith's most memorable work to date is due to hit the Xbox Live Indie Games service in just over a week, giving fans of the thirty year old classic yet another reason to rewind the clock.
Elite Systems are the team behind this new port of Manic Miner who also hope to give the rest of their ZX Spectrum catalogue similar treatment. Hopefully this means the likes of Head Over Heels and the many other games found in Elite Systems' iOS collection will soon be updated in glorious HD.
Manic Miner is set to hit Xbox Live Indie Games on June 29th featuring full screen and bordered gameplay (accompanied by toggleable retro scanlines), and even the option of infinite lives- for those unable to tackle the challenge set back in 1983.

True, but then again the biggest achievement is to finish it! Back in the days of Spectrum gaming, that is the only one that mattered....along with high scores!!!
Plus this game is really hard, the XBLIG version has option of infinite lives!
