Wreck It Ralph Arcade Game 'Fix-It Felix Jr' Ported To The Sega Mega Drive / Genesis

Fix-It-Felix-Mega-DriveTo help promote Wreck It Ralph, Disney created a pseudo retro game in Flash which was then placed in replica arcade cabinets. This title soon found its way onto the internet via an unofficial leak, however, it wouldn't be until now that the game would arrive on a true classic system as Fix-It Felix Jr has just been ported to the Sega Mega Drive.

This all new creation comes from the prolific Sega Mega Drive developer known as Future Driver who bizarrely made a 16-bit title based on our favourite snack, Pringles. Although an early version of this homebrew release, the Mega Drive port of Fix-It Felix Jr features everything from the replica arcade machine's gameplay, along with the welcome addition of smooth scrolling.

Needless to say, this recent addition to Sega's 16-bit console is a fantastic sight to behold and something we hope to see further updates on. Should you happen to own an Everdrive Mega Drive flash cartridge, be sure to drop the ROM of Fix-It Felix onto your memory card and give the game a spin.

Oh YES! This is actually a fun game, really in the spirit of the arcade games of the 70s/80s. The guy who designed it must be as old as me...

Wow, this is like the anti-Crazy Bus. Very well done for a Sega Genesis homebrew, which typically aren't very well done at all. There are still some details from the game that are missing, though, like how Wreck-It Ralph spins off the side of the building when he's dumped by the Nicelanders.
