The Rockman EXE series, better known as Mega Man Battle Network outside of Japan, was an unique RPG that spanned multiple releases on the Nintendo Game Boy Advance and DS. The Bandai Wonderswan also received a helping of Rockman EXE, however, this exclusive release was much closer to Mega Man's platforming outings - one which has now been translated.
Bandai's 2003 handheld release didn't include the tactical battle sequences found in the Game Boy Advance releases, but did, however, make use of the chip system which determined what abilities Mega Man could wield. With this weapon system integrated into the more familiar platform game setting our protagonist finds himself in, Rockman EXE WS paved way for a rather interesting Mega Man game.
Being a Japanese exclusive treat for nine years, one fan translator has finally brought this unique Mega Man appearance on the Wonderswan to English audiences.
