WaterMelon On The Lookout For Artists To Help Create Sega Mega Drive & Super Nintendo Homebrew Games

WaterMelon-Pixel-ArtistsDid you often used to dream about working in the games industry, helping to create the countless 16-bit titles we have all grown to love today? Well that chance of a lifetime has just presented itself once more. WaterMelon, the retro development studio behind the hit Mega Drive RPG Pier Solar, are looking for pixel artists to join their team and help create their next homebrew epics.

As much as we'd love to apply ourselves and get first hand experience creating original titles for the Sega Mega Drive and Super Nintendo, our skill-sets sadly don't meet WaterMelon's requirements. That said, we wouldn't be surprised if several talented artists acquainted with pixel-art skills are hiding out within RetroCollect - and our friends over at WaterMelon want to hear from you.

WaterMelon is hiring Pixel artists for AAA Sega Mega Drive/Genesis and Super Nintendo development!

What if we told you that there was a company developing brand new, AAA retro games completely on and for the original hardware?

What if YOU could work on a AAA, brand new, Sega Mega Drive/Genesis game? How about Super Nintendo? You can!!!

WM is seeking several highly experienced pixel artists for exactly this. We want you to join our team and be a part of the biggest thing happening in retro gaming.

For our consideration, please see further details here: http://www.watermelon-corp.com/data/careers_memo.pdf

If you do happen to take WaterMelon up on their offer and become the next big Mega Drive and Super Nintendo artist, do us proud and hide the RetroCollect logo somewhere in their upcoming releases!

a pretty cool opportunity for someone, especially if they recapture the art style of the older games
