With the Neo Geo X Gold handheld due for release in a matter of months, retro gamers around the world are anxiously awaiting SNK's revival in the handheld market. Given all we've had to go on so far are several images and a press release, the arrival of a video showcasing the new handheld in action is a welcome addition - one which can now be seen for ourselves.
While the handheld does hold plenty of promise, everything rests on how well the hardware delivers the classic arcade action we all know and love. From first impressions though we're rather impressed as the device seems to be running at full speed with no audio glitching either. Controls-wise, we are over the moon to see, or should we say hear, the infamous Neo Geo 'clicky-stick' making a comeback too.
All things considered though, this newly uploaded video leaves us with many questions. How does the built in menu to choose which game to play work? How do you load additional ROMs onto the device? What is the TV out video quality like? And how does the likes of SNK Vs Capcom and Metal Slug 5 handle on the hardware?
