Vectrex Regeneration - iPad & iPhone Vectrex Retro Compilation Coming Soon

Vectrex-Regeneration-iPad-And-iPhone-Vectrex-Retro-Compilation-Coming-SoonThe Vectrex is possibly one of the most desirable retro gaming systems around thanks to its crisp vector lines, but it doesn't come cheap. Indie developers Rantmedia Games hope to eliminate the initial cost of enjoying the 1982 console by releasing a compilation for the iPhone and iPad - the Vectrex Regeneration.

While there was only a mere 19 games released for the system, Vectrex Regeneration is set to contain each and every one of these titles - setting itself apart from the other stingy retro gaming compilations available. But if the thought of Scramble, Minestorm, Cosmic Chasm and Starhawk isn't quite enough to tempt you then Rantmedia Games has another treat in store for you. The ever active homebrew scene behind the Vectrex has been called upon to bring their efforts over to this new application.

As a large portion of these games are now thirty years old, Vectrex Regeneration hopes to give these classic titles a taste of the modern generation by introducing online leaderboards. Vectrex Regeneration is also set to make the most of the iCade System, mimicking the authentic experience as a tabletop system.

While no release date is set yet, keep a close eye on the official Vectrex Regeneration Twitter feed for the latest updates regarding this retro compilation.

Cool stuff, especially with the iCade stuff, since touch screen simply isn't as comfortable as buttons and a stick.
Will the games be in black and white only, or will de overlays be standard? Or will there be new ones you can choose from?

I was only just thinking how much I would like this on the iPad, and now they do it. Fantastic.
