Ever had the urge to use an original Sega Mega Drive or Super Nintendo control pad whilst emulating your favourite games? Well you're in luck. The USB RetroPad Adapter allows you to connect a large range of classic controllers with ease to a PC, PS3 or Mac for all your emulation needs.
While this new device might not be the first to offer a more authentic feel to emulation, it's most certainly the one offering the most connectivity. By default the on-board DB9 port can accept input from Sega Genesis/Mega Drive control pads, Sega Master System control pads, Atari 2600 joysticks, Commodore based joysticks and just about any other DB9 based controller.
The USB RetroPad Adapter's connectivity can then be expanded even further with the use of extension cables, allowing control pads from the Nintendo NES, Super Nintendo, Sony PlayStation, Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo 64, Neo Geo CD and the Sega Saturn to connect. But if that wasn't enough, on either side of the device are many screw terminal connectors allowing you to connect up your very own homemade arcade stick.
This ultimate solution to emulation with true controls can be had for around £20, with the extension cables costing as little as £5, shipping directly from the creator's online shop in Brazil.
