Remember the ROM hack we featured a while back that incorporated all the assets from the timeless shooter Goldeneye 007 into the much more fluid shooter Perfect Dark? Well the hackers behind Goldeneye X have released a new patch for the Nintendo 64 ROM that brings a whole host of new features, giving you the definitive Goldeneye multiplayer experience.
Goldeneye X incorporates just about every option you've ever wanted in the original game since its release back in 1997. Using Perfect Dark as a base for its engine, the latest version of the ROM hack (5a) brings along all the original levels, weapons and soundtrack, while also including the addition of computer controlled characters in multiplayer deathmatches, the ability to customise your character's head and body, the choice of which scenario to play, 30 mini-missions, and so much more.
