Upcoming PSIO PlayStation 1 SD Card ISO Loading Adapter Reveals New Features

PSIO-New-Features-DetailedJust mere weeks after revealing the latest progress with the upcoming PSIO device, the team behind this ISO loading SD card adapter have returned to showcase its many features. After watching this recently uploaded twenty minute long YouTube video, PlayStation 1 owners will no doubt be desperate to get their hands on this new bit of kit.

Promising the ability to load games into memory via SD cards without the original discs in sight, the PSIO is set to join the likes of the GDEmu, Panasonic 3DO USB-Host, and the upcoming Saturn Rhea with its disc drive emulation.

To further discuss the upcoming device's merits, this newly uploaded video of PSIO goes on to display some of the more promising features that were previously unseen. Retro gamers who prefer a bit more control over their systems will be pleased to know that the PSIO can not only change the console's video mode between PAL and NTSC, but also disable the animating PlayStation logo seen before games are loaded.

Elsewhere in the video greats such as Resident Evil 2 are shown to be running on PSIO flawlessly. The most impressive inclusion though is the short demonstration of Final Fantasy VII. The iconic introduction FMV to the game appears to playback through the PSIO perfectly, further proving that original discs are becoming a thing of the past.

While we continue to await further information regarding the PSIO's release, be sure to check out the device in action below.
