Upcoming Indie Adventure 'Spud's Quest' Nears Release Date With Impressive Launch Trailer

Spuds-QuestRemember Spud's Quest? The throwback neo-retro release to the days of Dizzy's adventures and simpler puzzle-lead quests is nearly ready to launch after scraping through Kickstarter late last year. In order to show how far development has progressed, the team behind this future classic have released a new gameplay trailer, one offering a lot to retro gamers.

This all new trailer quickly goes on to prove that Spud's Quest is very much what it has promised to be - a puzzle adventure homage to the games of yesteryear. Throughout the gameplay on show are countless nods to various classic titles, mechanisms we grew to love decades ago, and a visual style you'd expect from some of the British software developers of a bygone time.

If for whatever reason you didn't fund Spud's Quest via its original Kickstarter, the game can still be pre-ordered for £4.99 through the game's official website.

Just wanted to comment that I'm in the testing team for Spud's Quest and trying my best to report any nasty bugs there are.
